Edit: to the owner who responded and said I never actually visited, my visit was on July 24, 2023. I’ve also attached my credit card transaction as the fifth photo here which clearly denotes the location. I also still have the text message history with you. Please don’t try to act like this didn’t happen. I just didn’t post the review earlier since it was a very frustrating period but I took notes in my journal and am posting them now.
Worst haircut/perm experience of my life. I went in looking for a messy/wavy perm. Third and fourth attached pictures are what I showed the stylist. First and second pictures are what I ended up getting. Let me walk you through the process and all the red flags: stylist didn’t wash my hair before the haircut or perm. Never seen this before at any other salon, they don’t care about what products or oil you might’ve had in your hair beforehand stylist didn’t wash her hands or her tools between customers. She was cutting someone else’s hair at the same time as mine and used the same tools. At one point, she picked up a comb from her tool cart and it had SOMEONE ELSE’S BROWN HAIR ON THERE. She looked at it funny, blew the hair off, and then used the comb on me. So disgusting, especially considering the fact that they don’t wash your hair beforehand, so there’s buildup of multiple people’s scalps and hair in the tools when I showed the stylist a picture of the haircut I wanted, I specifically told her that I wanted my hair to hit my eyebrows after the perm. However, she cut my hair way too short so it was already at my eyebrows after the haircut and before she put the curlers in The curlers she used were way too small. I pointed it out when she put them in but she said it was fine and I told myself to trust the process. Never again am I trusting the process I’m pretty sure she lost track of time or just kept my curlers in for too long. There were multiple others who came in for a haircut as the perm solution sat in my hair and it seemed like she was really rushing through those haircuts
After she took the perm rollers out and showed my hair, I was absolutely horrified with the results. The stylist tried to play it off at first but I complained enough and she eventually gave in and called the owner. I spoke to the owner on the phone and she wanted me to come in later that week to get it “fixed”. My hair came out barely better after the “fix”. Worst part of all, the owner still made me pay the full 130$ price for this perm. I’ve gotten my hair permed more than 10 times and have only had good experiences until this salon.
I’d avoid going here unless you want to wear a hat weeks following a perm and risk infection from using shared...
Read moreCalled to make an appointment. Arrival day, arrived on time, was still asked to wait 30 minutes. I don't mind. Was watching the male with glasses hair cutter use hair clippers in a weird way where he would swipe back and forth consistently sideways against the comb to cut, that should've been my warning #1.
My hair was permed 3 months ago prior to this, I just needed a reperm and fix up. Sat down, showed desired hair style, he replies "ah, korean hair cut, okay." Assuming he's been giving everyone the similar cut and perm, should've turned out fine. Goes straight to cutting hair, no wetting, no wash yet. The hair clippers skills were subpar, no proper fade, left a 1.5 ~ 2 on my neck, sides not clean/sharp, not sure what he did on the back. He starts the perm process after about 15min of cutting. I was concerned since the curl rods seemed small compared to when I got a perm from another spot per my last session. Finished rolling, puts me on machine, I sit there for a good 10min. A customer comes in, and he seats them, he then prepares an alarm buzzer next to me, and he goes off to cut that person's hair. Buzzer goes off and I'm sitting there an additional 10min thinking the perm process is a little too long for such tight curls before he leads me back to the styling chair. Applies some foamy substance before he takes off the rods, and I'm looking at my ahjumma looking hair. Never had crazy curls before, and surely wasn't what I asked for... He touches up, cuts parts that looks off mainly to the back of my head, applies the curl cream, takes his 5 second video of the back of my head and says done. Didn't even show me a mirror peak at the back of my head to make sure if okay.
Not sure why this was $130 excluding tips... either he's too busy rushing me out to take care of next customers, or just doesn't care. My hair texture is normally dry and coarse and my last perm somewhere else somehow made it healthier, but this perm session here dried it out, made it frizzy, and.... not sure what I'm looking at. Help...
Read moreI walked in and there was an older Korean stylist working on 2 clients hair. There was another client sitting and waiting. I asked if she knew how to do a mini perm to cover the part of my head to look like baby hairs (this is done widely with Korean women in Korean hair salons). I've came acrossed this salon on Google based on their reviews and the fact that it's a Korean salon. Two other Korean women walked in, a younger woman that washes and blow dries hair, and another middle aged woman who does the styling. I asked them both and showed a video of the mini perm I wanted. They said they can do it. The middle aged woman stylist did a crooked part on my hair and slathered perm on the hairs where it should lay and cover the part to look like baby hair. 30 minutes later they had to wash out the perm. After washing, they dried my hair and proceeded to work on the hairs that was permed. She cut my hair too short. Both sides uneven. I thought, maybe I can style it and it'll be fine. Got home and found perm still on my hair so I washed it out. Now a week later, it looks like she gave me a shape up. I now have more forehead showing than I ever did. The hairs that's supposed to be "baby hairs" are cut unevenly and flying out of place on both sides. For a small perm and short cut, it was $80 and I gave $20 for tip totaling $100. My hair is a mess and I'm pretty sad about it knowing I have to show up at a wedding and not able to fix my hair. Lesson learned. I wouldn't recommend going for a custom request. It seems like they're only good for washing, cutting, keratin, and regular perm. Also, there's a small cute white dog that...
