Dine in with 2 young kids After ordering, I was told Cash only but No sign of [Cash only] anywhere of the store. If I knew before, I won’t choose to step in. However, I already order and promise my kids for the food. I went to ATM and come back to pay. We ordered chicken, sweet potato fries, rice blood cake, and Braised Rice with Pork plus one brown sugar bubble tea.

Food: The chicken seasoning is good, but not friendly to kids. The peppers still too spicy for kids. It’s good for adult.

Rice blood cake is too hard. The seasoning is same as chicken, tastes good, but they fried too long and become too dry and hard to chew.

Sweet potato fries is the only thing kids able to eat. But it was more on the soft side not crispy enough for me.

The Braised pork rice was decent , sauce tastes good but more on salty side.

The disappointing part is the service. Cash only but no sign to warn customers ahead of time It was a raining day, the menu shows the “no ice” option, but the server keeps telling me it can’t make no ice for my drink. After few minutes trying to find any other caffeine free option, I asked if they can just take the ice out before they sealed the cup. And I don’t mind to be not full cup. I just don’t want kids to have ice. They finally willing to do no ice and I’m ok with not full cup.

After ordering all the food, my dtr told me she needs water. And her water bottle is empty. I ask if it’s possible to have some water for my daughter. The server told me they only sell water. They can’t give us any water. I will have to buy it.

As a restaurant serving foods and drinks, you won’t even provide water for a kid after we spend almost $40 there. I understand you have a drink business and want to make profit for people to buy drinks. However, we did order bubble tea and all the foods, you would like to charge us for a small cup of water for a 4 year old too.

I’m sorry. Because of the service, I won’t go back again. It’s so sad I was so looking forward to try this restaurant after such a long wait...

Legend Chicken’s 2nd location recently opened in Bayside. I’ve been (many times) to their Flushing location which is a teeny tiny stall inside Foody Town food court and was happy to see they have expanded to a bigger space. They are still currently in their soft opening stage and are offering an (abbreviated) Tasting menu all this month. They have also teamed up with Fortune Tea and have an expanded boba tea menu. We ordered:

Legend Pops ($8): one of their most popular items is their fried chicken pops so I was glad to see it on the tasting menu. The chicken was lovely; was breaded nicely, seasoned well, and the meat was moist and tasty.

Curly Fries ($7): perfectly fried, crunchy exterior and nicely seasoned. While I did enjoy this, I don’t really know why I got it! You can get fries anywhere; I really should have gotten their Blood Rice Cake instead.

Lo Ba Bun ($8): this Taiwanese Pork and Rice Bowl was a deal at eight bucks. It consisted of braised minced pork over white rice with a hardboiled egg and thinly sliced pickled radish. The minced pork was very tasty and not too fatty. My only complaint about this dish was that they were a bit stingy with the meat. Lots of fluffy rice but not enough meat.

They currently only accept cash so plan ahead. Also, they are running two soft opening promos: get a free Jasmine Green tea with any $15 purchase or purchase a Snackbowl for $18.88 (Legend Pops, Fries, Jasmine Green Tea and Mochi Donut)

Will definitely be back once they are out of their soft opening stage to try their...

Absolutely amazing experience! They have two separate menus, one is halal and the other non halal.

Owner was very friendly and addressed any questions we had, also explained a bit more about the food and origins.

We came with an infant and it was cold and our baby was shivering, he closed the doors, put heat on. We also had a bottle of milk for our baby and our baby wasn’t drinking it properly. The owner went out of his way to give us hot water so we can dip the baby bottle and warm up the milk.

I didn’t even get to the food yet - the food has got to be one of the best ever. Seasoning was on point, flavor was there, from the vegetables, to the chicken to the fries to the drinks.

1000 % recommend to everyone and their...

During soft opening, the store opens at 3 pm. It also only accepts cash (tax is waived). We ordered a box of chicken pops to go. Today was a cool day but the store was very warm inside, making the wait for the food very uncomfortable. Hence I gave 2 stars for atmosphere. If it didn't want to turn on AC, it should've opened the "garage door". The chicken pops were freshly made and tasted good. But I think the ones from ChiMaMa down a few blocks on Bell Blvd were tastier. Will return to try other dishes though.

I've always loved Taiwanese food, but trying this tea is like traveling to Taiwan in New York. The flavor, variety, and affordable price in a place like Bayside are amazing! We also tried the sweet potatoes, the green beans with garlic ( crispy to perfection), and a delicious tiramisu dessert, It was decorated with a sweet touch, had a delicious texture, and was just right for sugar, since I personally don't like things too sweet.
