Liberty Palace Banquet Hall — Attraction in New York

Omggg I couldn’t wait to give this hall a 0 rate. It was so horrible the manager gem she’s horrible. I rent the hall for my baby shower frm 5-11 pm I was granted 13 tables. N 1 waitress n 1 bartender. For the price of $2300 it was a Sunday. unfortunately all my guest arrived late which is fine. I respect her time. So unfortunately she claim that one of the guess break the cover on the bar light. She came up to me in a rude way infront of all my guest n was very loud saying one of ur guests break the light n u have to pay me back for it. N it’s just the cover of the light n she wants $400 plus she cussed all my guests because they hate the way she speak to me. I went up to her n I was like that’s not how u speak to someone in-front they guest. She started to say how u want me to say it to bow at ur foot. Lol 😂 Then telling her waitress she knows me frm the 99c store n I beg her to rent the hall.. first of all I never beg u I pay my money that u told me the cost of renting . N btw she didn’t know me frm no 99c store u knew me frm dresses for less where I used to work she usually come n shop there for all her clothing. It’s was horrible with her.. she mentioned she had numbers for the table when my planer went there nothing at all they Hall was closed. For a baby shower she put up happy Birthday ballon for my background. I choose pink and gold she give me pink n silvers He had to wait how many hours to get in. I can go on more. But plz don’t rent this hall it’s horrible. Thank god I get over the horrible night.

Hosted a party using this hall earlier in the year, this is my third time but this last event it was under new management. Overall the hall is nice but it could really use some upgrades. There is a section on the right when you walk in, absolutely out of place, torn up dry wall, patchy paint job. I had to bring my own supplies and cover it up (probably still up 😂)

The part that really made my last experience the final time I’m using this hall is the lack of transparency from the owner. I booked the hall for a set price , that didn’t include servers, security or adequate bartenders. Had to add those features, I didn’t mind but I asked if cutlery was included, he said no even though it’s on the contact included. A big fancy hall like this doesn’t have cutlery!!! I asked how much it would be to get it and I paid to have a dishwasher and plates, the night of my party tell me why paper plates were placed out for my guests, damn DIXIE !!!! UNACCEPTABLE, I didn’t spend thousands of dollars to ensure my guests have a good evening and be OFFERED paper plates, it’s not a backyard BBQ, maintain some sort of standard man.I’m never using them again, the new management sucks. They really just bought the space and did nothing to make it a thriving business.

Oh and they also steal your alcohol if you’re bring from outside so...

I won’t even rate this place a one star. I just had my wedding there on October 20th. My wedding was supposed to be from 6pm-1am. I payed for an extra hour just so my husband and I, along with our guests can have a great time because I had family and friends coming from all parts of the country and the Caribbean. At 12:07am the lights went on and we were told that we have to leave because our time is up.Vinny, the guy that was overlooking everything went in the back and brought out a contract that he probably filled out while he was in the office stated that we payed to be there from 6-12. He said he wants $200 for an extra hour or nothing. A friend of my husband offered him $500 to keep the hall open and he refused. He stormed out of the hall and never came back. Mind you, he was eating and drinking out liquor as if he was a guest. The bartender was also rude and she called the cops saying there was a fight when there wasn’t. I am very disappointed because it wasn’t just a regular event. It was my wedding and...
