Manhattan Beach — Attraction in New York

Visited this beach two weeks ago on Sunday. I was expecting to be crowded as it was, was not expecting to be so filthy. The beach is entirely covered with garbage, plastic bags floating in the water, food wraps, plastic bottles even diapers can be found on the sand. This is nothing to do with Parks as they try their best to maintain the public park and they placed 8 garbage bins only 30' from the shoreline, but to no use. People are not bothered at all laying around and swimming in filth. I am adding one extra star for the unrealized potential that this public park can have only if people are more civilized and appreciate the nature we have available for free right in...

This place is very nice. The beach is very nice You can do barbeque. It has a lot of tables, but first come first serve. It has bathrooms close by. They sell food a little expensive but it's there. The only set back is that to park it costs $22 all day Saturday and Sunday, and you have no choice because the closest parking is 2 blocks away and there are hardly any spaces available. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Overall the place is nice and clean. Your family...

We love this beach! No huge waves which is great if you have kids and you can walk 100 feet in and its still be above water. Its well kept and lifeguards are posted. The bathhouse is up and running and so is the concession stand. Daily parking is 7 bucks but weekends its 22 and there is NO parking in the area Saturday and Sundays so be prepared to walk or pay the high parking prices....
