I rarely leave one star reviews but with the prices on the menu, there’s just no way I can give it a second star. I’m a foodie, I eat out for almost every meal. So I have the right to judge here. I understand that this is an older place and I’m not basing my review solely on appearance(s). I look beyond that but this place made me sick to my stomach. The steak was flavorless, it was well done on the outside and rare on the inside. (I ordered it medium well) the chicken breast was tougher than a flank steak and dryer than the Sahara. We had mozz sticks for the appetizer. I asked for more marinara, but by the time they brought it out we were already done. The baby potatoes that came on the side of one of the entrees were still frozen. The curly fries that came on the side of another entree were great except we’d be giving the credit to ore ida. The soup...was clearly from a can and microwaved. The best thing we had was our cans of soda, they were fresh. Every meal also came with a slice of pickle, I love pickles but these were the softest slimiest pickles I’ve ever bit into. Also I want to mention the random sauces we found on all our plates, ketchup is okay, Buffalo sauce is acceptable but out of place, tartar sauce? Horseradish? What meals do those go with? And I enjoy an English muffin in the morning for breakfast but why is it on my steak? So many questions so little answers. The staff were always around which was nice but they all weren’t properly trained on how to handle issues with meals and such. They acted like they’ve never had a guest complain. I read all the reviews before typing up this one. All the 5 star ones are clearly fake. The one star ones are usually other restaurants or disgruntled employees but they seem to be pretty honest. Before I finish I do want to mention how uncomfortable I am sitting on these wooden seats. I can’t stop moving around. We ordered dessert and hookah and it was decent. $45 a head is steep. Too bad most people won’t take a chance on the dessert with how the food is. I hope the owner sees this and implements some changes. More comfortable chairs, a proper chef, better fresher ingredients, and a new menu will do this...
Read moreWe thought this would be a nice hole in the wall place. The food was alright but the service was horrible. We had to ask the server for more water despite our glasses being fully empty. Our food came out in stages even though everything was ordered at the same time. The side of Fries came out 15 minutes after the rest of the food and we had to remind them. The Assorted Pickles plate is Mia labeled ---- you get pickles some pickles, three giant tomatoes, and a handful of banana pepper.
Finally they charge a gratuity fee for parties of four or more but that is not marked ANYWHERE. They have signs that say you must order $15 per person and 3% for paying which credit cards; you don't have a sign for parties of 4 or more. The service was horrible. We had to ask for water and refills, remind them about our food, hunt them down to get to go boxes and check. They were not slammed, in fact 5 were just hanging out in the restaurant v. Helping customers. we asked the manager because the service did not warrant a 15% tip. He just said "well that's the way it is if you had 6 or more it would be 20%. This is almost a...
Read moreI recently dined at Emmons Palace, and it was an experience worth sharing. Nestled along the waterfront, the ambiance is elegant yet inviting, perfect for a romantic dinner or a celebration with family and friends.
The menu features a mix of European and Mediterranean cuisine, with standout dishes like the grilled lamb chops and seafood risotto. Everything was beautifully plated and rich in flavor. The appetizers were just as impressive — the eggplant caviar and shrimp cocktail were particularly memorable.
Service was attentive and professional, with staff who genuinely seemed to care about our dining experience. Our server was knowledgeable and made excellent wine pairing suggestions.
The décor is tastefully done, with a spacious dining room and lovely views that enhance the overall atmosphere. Live music on weekends adds a nice touch, making the evening even more enjoyable.
