I went on the night fishing trip with a group of six from 6 PM to 11 PM on the boat it took about 1 hour 15 minutes to reach the fishing spot. There were a lot of big waves on the way there causing the boat to rock a lot and many people did get sick. Now I know that is out of the control of the captain, but the reason I would not recommend this fishing charter is because for one the first mate was not very helpful and was very rude. My brother’s fishing line got snagged and it took about a good 30 minutes for the first mate to come and actually help him fix his line. Another time, one of us lost our weight for the rod and yet again, had to wait for the first mate to come around and charge us for a new weight and fix it on to our rod. I could tell at this point he was trying to avoid our group at all costs. Finally, we ran out of the so little bait they gave us (see picture) and it took so long to try to find the first mate yet again. When we did find him he rudely responded that the bait was in the cooler, meanwhile, almost every person on the boat had a cooler so it was very hard still to find the bait. For what was supposed to be a 5 hour fishing trip, we only fished for an hour. It took 3 hours total to get to the spot and get back to the dock and another hour to actually find the first mate to help us get bait or any other issue we had. I was pretty disappointed having to pay a lot of money for only an hour of fishing. I would hope that the charter invests in more first mates that have a lot more patience to help. The captain himself was a great guy, I would just like to see more help from...

Cons: The entire rest of the experience.
The captain had a bad attitude. The crew had a bad attitude. They yell at their customers and are just generally rude to both customers and each other.
The only person who was kind of friendly was the woman who worked in the galley and a guy named Danny who apparently USED to work on the boat but now doesn't work on the boat anymore.
The crew were non-existent after we got out to get fishing, and when they WERE helping people, I watched them purposely keep porgies that were WAY too small to be kept.
Further than that, their website was completely misleading. I clicked on a button that said, "Striped Sea Bass $50-7pm to 12pm" and didn't pay attention when I actually booked that it really said, "Sea Bass and Porgies"...and we weren't fishing for Sea Bass. This was a blatant bait and switch.
When it came time to clean the fish, it was $1 per fish to clean them.
Afterwards, the crew guys stood at the top of the steps to collect tips...and I did tip them but only because I also tip on bad service at most restaurants.
The word that comes to mind is: tired. This whole crew and operation are tired.
For my money and my time, I should have...
Read moreHad a good time but disappointed because we booked the trip for striped bass and instead all it was was porgy . The staff was very nice very helpful and friendly so was the captain. The reason why I gave it three stars instead of five is not even because I paid for a striped bass trip that's not the biggest issue the issue I had was there were people on the boat smoking weed and drinking alcohol I could deal with the alcohol part but I had my son there with me and I didn't appreciate people smoking on the boat I just thought it was disrespectful to the other people around them and to the captain and his crew I'm surprised that they allow that on the boat. I understand a lot of people nowadays smoke it is what it is but there's a time and place for it and that was not the place. Anyway overall had a good time with my son and like I said the captain and his crew very nice people my son is older but I don't recommend going there if you're going to bring younger kids just not the right...
