What can I say I have worked here and I started in medsurge 4a 2016 I have the best headnurse damn I would have given my all with that head nurse but when she left it was too much already short stuff arrogant drs patients have no respect and nurses become the enemy at this point I had to transfer to outpatient I only had a chance to transfer after 2020 because I had to be in med surge for Covid time after I transferred I was there for almost 5 years got pregnant finally 2021 and I was in labor and delivery ended up some complications. My 22 weeks baby was going to be 23 weeks the next day I felt like things was not that good when my water broke to tell you I felt like my drs were not listening not even attentive I lost my baby 2021 but before all Of that the dr had already asked me To abort the baby because was going though complications and Instead of offering a c section my child could have been safe they waited until my baby was already too late to save .and in to the middle of my labor thatās where they asked me if I want a c section again even when they offered they didnāt want to go through with it my child could have been okay. When she passed I was getting sicker and sicker and non of them could figure out what was going on only one Dr God bless his soul said placenta is stuck on her so I had to have a surgery. After that I felt better but ended up having a kidney disease I took a 2 month break and I was still seeing my nephrologist there she didnāt even tell Me that my kidney disease at progressed and turn to stage 5 and needing procedure to start on dialysis again I am baffled and I still trusted this nephrologist until last year I got pregnant again by the insistence of my nephrologist I had to have the port in but I overheard from the interventional Surgeon why are they rushing her to have this when sheās pregnant. I still ended up putting the port in. But they wanted me to do dialysis right away until I felt all the pain. The next day I saw my nephrologist and ask is there anyway you can order an ultrasound (I felt that there was something wrong but the nephrologist ignored it and said youāre going to ask for more ultrasound since youāre going to be worried 2 to 3 weeks from the hospital since I was admitted the next day was my discharge I have begged the resident who is taking care of me to order an ultrasound long and behold I was carrying a dead fetus since the day they put a port in me. I lashed out and called that nephrologist literally curse her out and she didnāt even come see me and I know she was in the hospital she only send a resident to tell Me that my child passed away. The audacityā¦. After all this mental stuff that has happened I had to figure out my life for a few months I seek help and finished all My procedures I am a dialysis patient so mind you I am Disabled I have been trying to go to back to work since September of last year they have given my position to somebody else and they are pushing me to go inpatient despite of my heavy lifting restrictions. Eeo doesnāt help Ceo didnāt help union didnāt help and so is the supervisor until now I am fighting to get my job back and they wanted my Dr to lie that I donāt have restrictions wasted 8 years of my life. Gave my all To patients to everyone and I wasnāt allowed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI come to Jacobi because it's a 5 minute walk from me. I walked into the ER at 10am and it's now 1am and I haven't eaten anything all day. I came in with stomach issues and I haven't been eating lately and they suggested I eat. Yet every nurse I asked to bring me something they said they were going to and not one of them ever came back. Finally a little after midnight I asked my friend to bring me some food and when he arrived the front desk reception staff were so rude and arrogant. I was extremely irritated with them because I wish they had that much persistence in bringing patients food as they did not trying to let him in to bring me food. The staff during the day were pretty good. Although I saw a sweet older lady get told her husband had died in the most insensitive way and she was alone. I just wanted to hug her and pray with her. As the day passed, I realized the care got worse. They said they were admitting me at 10pm, only one person came up to me after that. I literally just got into a room 4 hours later(2am). The daytime patients were a total disaster, lots of drug users high out of their mind yelling and screaming, angry patients tired of waiting and several people handcuffed to beds and their feet were handcuffed together accompanied by police officers. Never experienced anyone at all, yet so many people in one day coming to the hospital in handcuffs. I have experienced the drug users and angry patients on previous visits here. Needless to say, after several people over the years telling me this is the worse hospital, I finally opened my eyes to see it over the convenience of being so close to me .
UPDATE The experience got worse. They admitted me and said I would see a GI doctor. I'm now here 2 days and they are saying I won't see a GI doctor for another 2 days. Only one doctor met with me today(which 5 students with him), he said he was gonna do 2 test(stool and blood) never saw him again today. The dietician came and talked to me as well. I asked her do they have any plant based ensure or protein shakes, she said she would check yet never heard back. I asked the nurse to ask her what was the outcome and never heard anything from the nurse again either. You kind of don't want to ask again because they seem like you are bothering them to do their job. My bed is leaning to the right(seems like I'm gonna fall out, along with being so uncomfortable and the sheets have holes in them and after two days I still don't even have a pillow. I realized they are all taking their time to extend everyone's stay. I've heard about 10 people ask to be discharged because they didn't feel they were getting help they needed. They instill fear in them by saying it's not under doctors orders, they suggest you stay and if you die it's not their fault. Then say they must...

Yes, a significant number of veterans have been incarcerated, facing unique challenges during and after their sentences. Recent studies show that veterans from the all-volunteer force era are more likely to be incarcerated than their non-veteran counterparts. This is often linked to risk factors like combat exposure, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and substance use disorders. Assistance and Programs The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other organizations offer specific programs to help justice-involved veterans reintegrate into society. These programs aim to address the root causes of their criminal justice involvement and provide a path to a stable civilian life. Veterans Treatment Courts: These courts offer an alternative to traditional sentencing. They focus on treatment and rehabilitation, providing eligible veterans with the tools and support to address underlying issues like substance abuse and mental health conditions. Health Care for Re-entry Veterans (HCRV) Program: This VA program helps incarcerated veterans prepare for their release. It provides them with information about their benefits and connects them with health care, housing, and other community resources to prevent homelessness and promote successful reintegration. Veterans Justice Outreach (VJO) Program: VJO specialists act as a liaison between the VA and the legal system. They identify veterans in jail or prison and connect them with the appropriate VA services, whether they are in a Veterans Treatment Court or not. VA Benefits and Incarceration Incarceration can impact a veteran's eligibility for VA benefits. While certain benefits, like disability compensation, may be reduced or terminated after a certain period of imprisonment, others, like some education benefits, may still be available. Veterans receiving disability compensation rated at 20% or higher will have their payments reduced after 60 days of imprisonment for a felony conviction. Veterans receiving a VA non-service-connected pension will have their payments terminated. However, benefits are not reduced for those in work-release programs or residential...
