Tones Day Spa — Local services in New York

This is the WORST place for post op care. My experience here was horrible. I booked my first appointment when I was in DR In hopes to be treated with care. I should’ve listened to my gut during my first visit when I walked in and the ambiance, didn’t even smell or feel like a spa. The customer service was not welcoming at all.

When I called for information I was told that They provided drainage services to remove access fluid from my surgery which my doctor recommended.

My first massage I left looking the same way I did when I walked in. no questions were asked I had to inform the massage lady of how many days post op I was etc. when I told her about the liquid pockets she said it would go away with time and compression. ( WRONG!!!!!) she also didn’t add my ab board to my compression because she was rushing me.

My next appointment was with an older lady with more experience and she notices the areas I pointed out last time were actually getting hard and She did the right thing by massaging me and removing fluid that can ruin my results. However needed permission from the front desk lady who only allowed her two syringes ( NOT EVEN KNOWING how much fluid I had inside of me)

When I was done with my massage the front desk lady knocks on the door and tells my massage lady that her next client is waiting. ( IF THIS PLACE KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT POST OPP MASSAGE THEY SHOULD KNOW IT DOESN’T TAKE 30 min to complete)

Clearly the Owner or the main desk lady is a horrible boss because this lady was so startled to continue helping me. I asked her if she could please help me put my faja and foams on and she said she couldn’t and brought me and all my things to the BATHROOM for me to put my FAJA, foams and boards on by myself !!!!! then the same receptionist goes knocking on the bathroom door.

I get to the front and she’s on her phone. I asked the return policy on packages she said there is none. I told her what happened and she acted concerned as if she wasn’t just rushing my massage lady with me. If helping clients put on their foams, boards and garments isn’t part of their service then they need to lower the prices on the packages . no woman post opp is putting their garments on alone.

I won’t be returning and they didn’t offer me not a dollar of the 340 I paid for 2/5 massages. This place is a SCAM!!! 125 a massage for what exactly??

I arrived 10 minutes early for my 5:30 appointment. I wasn’t taken in until about 6. I was received and taken to a lovely waiting room and offered a glass of mimosa. It was tasty. I did not like the long wait, but whatever I was looking forward to a really great massage. I booked a 90 minute deep tissue with CBD. I came in with a lot of aches in my neck, shoulders, leg and arms. I took the day off from work and decided I needed something to renew myself. The woman who worked on my body was being so gentle, I stopped her twice to clarify that I was there for a deep tissue and she was being too gentle. The third time I stopped her, I was getting very annoyed because she was just shaking my arm up and down and I said this is not deep tissue, this is definitely something else. I need you to get into the muscles more. I asked her if she could get the lady who had booked my reservation. The masseuse did not go and get her. Instead she apologized and said she was not told I was getting a 90 minute deep tissue with CBD. She had not been using CBD and she was told this was a deep tissue/sports massage. Either way there was no deep tissue massaging going on. The masseuse apologized and began giving me a stronger massage. This lasted about 20 minutes and at 7pm, she said she was done. No the math was not mathing, but I wanted to get tf up out of there anyway cause my day was ruined. The lady who booked me also apologized saying she remembered me asking about the 90 minute deep tissue with CBD but she had not booked me for that and it was her fault. She said, “I won’t charge you for the CBD even though the masseuse had used the CBD towards the end of the session.” I just nodded cause at this point, who cares. I wasn’t there for no discount. I didn’t get what I came there for. I tipped the girl 18% for trying and left. My bill was $222.85. NEVER AGAIN. NEVER AGAIN. I left worse than I came in. Not only was my shoulders still aching, but I was irritated that my time and money was wasted. That young lady must have been tired cause that’s what I got: a tired massage. Oh and she spent like 3-5 minutes on my ears. Are you kidding me? Deep tissue ear massage? She massaged one arm and not the other. Never made it to my legs.
