Location: The restaurant is conveniently located for people commuting by public transportation. Just a short walk from the bus stop, past several auto body shops and random businesses, you'll find Tana Thai. Tana Thai is a cozy restaurant with several tables. We were a party of four and were lucky to have the restaurant to ourselves before other customers arrived. Service: Pookie, the server was attentive and friendly. Food: For appetizers, we ordered vegetable dumplings, fried spring rolls, and papaya salad (all delicious, by the way.) For the entrees- the fish with garlic and pepper was mouth-watering - it was lightly battered and fried. The shrimp and chicken pad Thai were delicious and flavorful. Their Thai tea was good, sweet, and creamy. As for the desserts, that is where they missed the mark. While the fried bananas were good and it's a popular Thai dessert, we also ordered the ricotta and pistachio cake and a chocolate temptation cake. Unfortunately, the ricotta and pistachio cake was hard and frozen and the chocolate cake was slightly frozen. Overall, the food was quite good and the restaurant was worth the visit.

Tana Thai Restaurant is a hidden gem that delivers a true taste of Thailand right in our city. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere filled with the aroma of fresh herbs, coconut, and spices. The menu offers a wonderful variety of traditional Thai dishes, and each one is prepared with care and authenticity. The Pad Thai was perfectly cooked—tangy, slightly sweet, and packed with flavor. The noodles were tender and the shrimp were fresh, topped with crunchy peanuts and a squeeze of lime that tied it all together. My ultimate favorite is the the pineapple chicken which is full of aromatic spices and peanuts . For those who enjoy a little heat, the Drunken Noodles were a flavorful standout, with a perfect mix of spice, vegetables, and tender chicken.. Come visit Tana Thai , I highly reccomend it .

So I heard a lot of good reviews about this place and considering it has my name in it, I had to give it a chance. Lol, as a person who has eaten a lot of thai food in her day, the food was abysmal. Disgusting. My mother ordered the chicken fried rice and I ordered the shrimp pad thai. The shrimp was practically raw, the noodles had no flavor, it was almost like it was cooked by someone who only saw a picture of pad thai but never actually eaten it. The rice was bland. White, no seasoning with the driest smallest chicken pieces you can imagine. Seriously if you're craving noodles and fries rice, your local Chinese food take out would be better than the garbage they served. Never again, I learned my lesson, I'm never ever going back.

The experience wasn't entirely terrible, even though the food was. The staff was courteous but they don't know a damn thing about good food. And the price was too expensive. A normal order of pad thai at any take out place will run you 10 bucks max? With far bigger portions. This was 14 dollars that was just thrown in the trash cause the food was so bad.

The fried rice was 12 or 13 dollars which is crazy considering it was the most basic rice I've ever seen in my life.

Again, your local take out place could make a better fried rice with their eyes closed.

Christ I can't stomach how bad the food was. One fried rice and one pad thai should not run anyone over 30 dollars. We were going to get thai bubble tea as well but decided against it because of how bad the food was. Instead we drove out to Pelham bay and got ourselves bubble tea from our usual thai place and...

I am a vegetarian and I ordered food from Tana Thai Restaurant , Eastchester road a few times now. They claim that they would make the food without eggs or peanuts if you specify. Today I placed an order and had to call the restaurant because this has been my second time receiving my food with nuts and eggs. The first time I summed it up to a possible mistake and I did not call and complain about it but today I was treated so badly by the person taking the order. The person taking the order were constantly talking to someone in the background. Then when I ask her if she heard what I ordered, she cuts me off and say: "ok, ok, ok!" and on top of that she has an attitude!! To be quite honest, I've always felt that she had a bad attitude when I've ordered in the past and today I decided to be extra extra nice. That did not work! She still had a nasty attitude and cuts you off when you are trying to explain your order. Now when it comes to ordering food or the person serving me my food, I am on my utmost best behaviour. Why? because, I do not want someone to spit in my dish!!! Today is the last day I shall be ordering from Tana Thai Restaurant!! And I mean it! I threw out the old menu and decided to share my experience with the public. If any of you have had great experiences with them, I am super happy for you but Tana Thai is not meant to be serving me and my money was not meant to be given to them. Good bye overly priced food and rude...

The food was good but for the money the portions were too small. My wife and I ordered over the phone and the lady who took the order kept pre empting me and wouldn’t give me a chance to talk. And when I did I constantly had to repeat myself. We used a credit card to pay...big mistake. She couldn’t hear properly to take the order but got our credit card number in one go. After getting our food we were very disappointed with the portions as I previously stated but that was the least of our problems. The following day we realize that not long after using our card to pay for the food there were two attempts to use our card in Florida....smh....this has never happened before and my wife only used this card weekly at a particular store for years without a problem. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. The woman I spoke to seem nervous when I stated my case. She claimed the lady who took my order before wasn’t there and tried to convince me she wouldn’t have done that. Somehow I don’t believe her. I told her I enjoyed the food but was disappointed about them giving out my card information. I told her she just lost a customer to which she rudely told me that I could go somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. And please don’t give your credit card information over the phone to...
