Pelham Bay Nature Center — Attraction in New York

Nice, open fields. 2 playgrounds at opposite ends of the park along the I-95. 2 bathroom areas, visitors center, nice walking trails towards the back of the park past the dog run that lead to the water. Super peaceful. Lots of families, ball playing, soccer teams, football, tennis courts, sprinklers. Easily accessible by train (6 train) or car (limited parking by track...otherwsie street parking). Perfect way to spend a warm day...
