Read moreNice area off the right side from Astoria Park's East River past the famous Hellsgate Bridge. The views are spectacular. The River's currents are the strongest in this area. You get to see people on the river with sailboats & other types of water based vehicles. People walking by & few ppl w/dog's, some ppl bring blankets & picnic table w/portable BBQ's, folding lounge chairs. All in all a nice day to feel a breeze & clean. I been coming here before they put down winding paths to me it's a bit more than some East River side of Astoria,NY it's where I grew up. It's got wooden & metal benches to sit & enjoy the views. I'm looking forward to spending more days with my Friend's @that side of Astoria Shore Park...
