1. Sunset Over the East River The park’s western edge along Shore Boulevard provides a stunning vantage point for sunsets over the East River. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms into a canvas of warm hues, reflecting off the water and creating a picturesque scene. This spot is a favorite for photographers and romantics alike. 2. Hell Gate Bridge and Manhattan Skyline Positioned under the iconic Hell Gate Bridge, Astoria Park offers a unique perspective of this engineering marvel. Beyond the bridge, the Manhattan skyline stretches out, offering a panoramic view that combines urban architecture with natural beauty. It’s an ideal location for those looking to capture the essence of New York City in a single frame. 3. Robert F. Kennedy (Triborough) Bridge Views On the southern end of the park, the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (formerly Triborough Bridge) spans the East River. From this vantage point, visitors can admire the bridge’s intricate design and the bustling activity below. The juxtaposition of the bridge’s structure against the flowing river creates a dynamic and engaging view.

A beautiful park! It was just further renovated with upgrades to the retaining walls that keeps to the shoreline from degrading. They did a phenomenal job, it looks absolutely beautiful! It's a short 6 minute walk from Astoria Park. Most people consider Ralph Demarco Park and Astoria Park to be the same thing. In fact, most people don't even realize that Ralph Demarco Park has it's own name. They just assume it's also Astoria Park as they are both connected.

One of my favorite parks in Queens. Has a track, children's playground, and you can have picnics. The beautiful scenery is a bonus with the water and the bridges. Also events like 4th of July fireworks is awesome. It's totally free but get there early because parking is minimal. They have other free events as well. I give it 4 stars because a lot of the grass areas are not kept clean. There is always a lot of broken glass.

Nice area off the right side from Astoria Park's East River past the famous Hellsgate Bridge. The views are spectacular. The River's currents are the strongest in this area. You get to see people on the river with sailboats & other types of water based vehicles. People walking by & few ppl w/dog's, some ppl bring blankets & picnic table w/portable BBQ's, folding lounge chairs. All in all a nice day to feel a breeze & clean. Just got to remember that across the East River there is a Water Sewage processing plant when the wind blows the smell can be quite smelly, just a quick reminder of how reality truly is. I been coming here before they put down winding paths to me it's a bit more than some East River side of Astoria,NY it's where I grew up. It's got wooden & metal benches to sit & enjoy the views. I'm looking forward to spending more days with my Friend's @that side of Astoria Shore Park...
