Jade Joy — Restaurant in New York

I Called in and ordered food to be ready by the time I arrived since I was on a short lunch break. When I arrived the food was ready, perfect timing. Jade Joy is a small Chinese restaurant with 5 tables that fit groups of 4 and a small TV.

Food: I ordered the boneless spare rib tips with BBQ sauce and pork fried rice with a snapple iced tea. I was impressed, exactly what you would expect from a NYC Chinese food spot. It was hot and fresh and had a good amount of sauce. The flavor on the rice was rich as well.

Service: Very friendly and professional lady at the counter and another man in the back cooking up the food. No issues with the service, and no delays on orders.

Cleanliness: The tables and store overall were neatly kept. Not as cluttered as the smaller chinese places I've seen. There was a fan on the wall which was a bit dusty and could use a wash but it was turned off so no worries.

If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant to be able to sit and enjoy your food while watching some random channel on their TV, this would be a great spot for you. I would definitely stop by again when I'm in this part of the Bronx if I'm in the mood for Chinese. Hope this review helps you all on your journey to...

I've been going to this place off and on since this plaza opened in the late 70's. The quality has been on the decline for years. I placed an order and asked for chicken and broccoli and what did I get; Beef and broccoli. The lady tells me it says Beef on the order. I told her no I ordered chicken. Mind you when I ordered it the first time and we reviewed the order she forgot my whole order except the chicken and broccoli and I had to repeat the whole order again. Instead of trying solve the issue she hung up on me. I call back, no one picks up. I call again and she picks up and I ask if she hung up and she says yes because I ordered the chicken and broccoli. I proceed to tell her I've been ordering from this place for over 30 years and instead of trying to solve the problem this is what's she does. I tell she can go screw herself and will order from somewhere else...

I went there to try their lunch special. I ordered the sesame chicken and roast pork fried rice not having any expectations. However, I was surprised to find out how good it was! The rice was nicely cooked, the broccoli tasted fresh and the chicken was delicious. It'd be better if they used a sauce that had a lighter flavor due to how strong it tasted on the chicken. The only reason why I give it 4 stars is because they take a while sometimes to even take your order. They could let the customer know they're aware of their presence and that they'll take their order in a brief moment. Anyways, it's a good place to...
