A message for organizers: Went to the market for the first time today. Thanks for the opportunity (definitely better than nothing), but would appreciate a better quality when there’s only one bakery presented. We tried several things at Francesca’s Bakery, and all tasted mediocre. The plainest crust I’ve tried. Nothing that would make us to come back. In a time when there are an ocean of good bakeries in NYC, is it so hard to pick one good for the market? Read moreI look forward to Saturday mornings whether it is in the summer or the cool fall. The different farmers that bring their fruits and vegetables and even pastry and bread products are all very fresh and very very delicious. Great prices for what you're getting and the fruits are usually so big much bigger than the stores. This is a wonderful wonderful nice market behind the mall. Parking is usually plentiful. Every walk of life every nationality comes here to buy the different delectable fruits vegetables pastries and breads. Looking forward to this Saturday. I believe that they will be finishing up...
Read moreLike many farmer markets, this one is a happy place I am only glad to visit. It's convenient to reach by car with plenty parking and by bus, with the bus stop literally dozen or two yards away. I wish there were many more vendors, because currently there are just a few tents. But it's great because you can establish a relationship with farmers and bakers and get to know your food better, so to speak. The produce is of great quality and taste. I got some pretty unique ancient grain flour from a local mill which made my homemade sourdough taste like no other. That's when I knew I'll keep visiting...
