Warning: If you see something you want, BUY IT, or at least HOLD ON TO IT! I was beyond excited when Primark was opening a store in NYC, and I wasn't the only one. Primark is currently "the-store-to-go-to" in SIMall, which basically means everyone is going to stop by, and judging from the amount of people carrying Primark bags, nearly everyone buys something. This Primark is large and decently stocked. They always have a little Harry Potter section which I find amusing (and am grateful for). However, don't leave something you want if it's low in stock! Just today my sister and I were eyeing a scarf, a holiday-themed beanie, and a pair of gloves. We decided to come back to them after thinking a while, but two hours later, the gloves were completely sold out and there was only one of the scarf and beanie left each! Primark has a pretty decent return/exchange plan, so don't hesitate to buy something if you think you might regret missing out on it. I do regret not getting those gloves. Primark gets 4 stars because of their awful excuse of their denim section. If you just want the look of denim, go for it! But it's very cheap material, even for fast fashion, and there isn't anything there that you can't get at another store. If you're looking for a new pair of jeans for cheap, I suggest NY&Co, Kara, or Loft instead. But if you want to try out that new trendy cut of jeans but don't want to actually invest, go ahead and get...
Read moreThis is probably unique: I just came back from London which included a shopping spree at the Oxford Street location last weekend Aug 24, 2018. Actually, I hit that store twice last trip, afraid to leave something behind lol. It's a tradition to go to Primark in London every trip. The prices are Amazing for the quality received. The sweaters I've bought in the UK store have held up thru washing, fantastic quality and style, they would be priced $80 if sold in Macy's or Nordstrom. Now, I just happened to search for Primark and located this one in SI. I was really excited. I took a special trip out of the way, expecting to find the same sort of stuff. Absolutely NOT the same quality. Its insulting! OBVIOUSLY A DIFFERENT PURCHASING DEPARTMENT I wish I could show you the beautiful trench coat, blazer, sweaters and pajamas I bought from London. This stuff in the SI store was sad, cheap and an insult to diehard fans of the store in Europe. The only things I saw that were the same, was the bras and underwear, and a belt that I actually saw at oxford st. The rest? Subpar, garbage. The coats skirts pants especially the sweaters were wrinkled, thin, and acrylic knockoffs of what I thought were amazing in London. Please, PLEASE do better. I wanted to love this location, but it looks like I need to go...
Read moreWe arrived outside a bit before opening. So my kids and I sat down or walked around by the front door until they did. We were greeted by one of the cleaning crew who was very friendly and made my boys and I smile. Once the store opened, my very loud kids were the center of attention there as I tried to keep up with them. Well, we ran into multiple staff working the floor who greeted us, complimented my children, and engaged with them. Helping me keep eyes on them and again made us smile. They even suggest certain areas for me to check out that I or the kids might like. I thought they would have had a bigger boys section for young kids, but they didn't have much in my 2-3 year old sizes. And the underwear section, all the packs were open, so I couldn't even get hin those. It's such a shame that people have to steal or open stuff because they ruin it for other people. I wish they had an email list or something to update people on the new things they have in stock, for people like me who don't come that often. Ooh, and they had a beautiful window display of women's clothes thats a great way to...
