A spectacular grand opening!
As I have known all my life as a rollerskater and have seen in every rink I've gone to, for the love of skating is the understanding of nothing but love, happiness. Leave everything at the door and just have a great time, that's the goal. THAT is EXACTLY what everyone did last night! The youth came out of everyone!! Some of the best, I call it tiktok, social media famous skaters came out to entertain those on the sidelines who came out to watch. The energy was amazing, the host was R&B star Usher, who wasn't afraid to join in yhe, fun skating ALL NIGHT. Many of the celebrities who were going all night having a great time were Jermaine Dupree, Meek Mills, Floyd Mayweather. You couldn't keep them off the floor! Meek Mills laughed everytime he fell, got up and kept on going, never realizing that the more you fall the more you learn. The fear of falling holds you back. Well, I must say, fear he definitely did not have! Other celebrities who watched were Mary J Blige, Dr Dre, Fabolous, Gail King!! ❤🤩I must say this wasn't about the celebrities. I saw the celebrities were honored to be amongst great skaters who taught them along the way! Last night the skaters were the celebrities! 🤩❤
The food and drinks were good, the price I have no clue. Where I was it was free at the time.
Open the the public seasonally from April 15th -October 22. Skate rental available. Just to mention, I'm loving the royal blue look of the rentals, different from the traditional beige.
It's a must go! Maybe you can start this weekend on their grand opening weekend!! Whenever you do it, enjoy!!
🧏♀️ Oh and 1st timers and rusty skaters are welcome as well! 😉No judgement just have a good time. In the world of skating, there's always someone who will be willing to train. Oh fyi, if you ever see a cluster of people in the middle, go over there it's usually a competition, training practice or...
Read moreI emailed them inquiring about making reservations for a skating lesson for 2 for my daughter’s birthday on November 21st. A manager replied this morning stating that their last available lesson was at 1:30pm. I decided to call in anyways at 12:54pm and was then told that they had availability at 3:30pm for my desired date. I asked their representative to make the reservation for that time and she advised me to be there at around 3:15pm so we had time to get ready. We changed our prearranged plans for the day in order to accommodate their availability and our reservations. Given the difference in answers between my conversation over the phone and my previous email correspondence, I decided to call back and get a confirmation via email. I called at 4:54pm and was then told that they did not have my reservation and that the last available reservation was at 3:00pm. The lady who I spoke with was rude, often interrupted me, and was very dismissive. I asked to have a supervisor contact me and she refused to pass along the message... instead directing me to write an email or call back again. I asked her if it was ok by her to pass my message along and have her supervisor contact me and she refused. She identified herself as the manager on duty and implied that there was nobody else above her I could speak to. Needless to say, we will take our money were it is appreciated and we’re we feel confident that our reservations will be handled properly. If you are looking for something you can count on... this is probably not the place. It is obvious they run a very poor operation. Considering the fact that they are more expensive than Bryant Park or Central Park Ice skating, you would have expected more....
Read moreOn our recent trip to NYC I wanted to give the family a memorable experience by ice skating at the Rockefeller Center. However, the staff was rude and unprofessional. I booked the tickets a month and half prior to our trip. I couldn’t get the information I needed online so I called for assistance. I explained that I would have my 3 year old toddler with me. The person in the phone said I could get a chaperone pass and rent skate to be with him on the ice. I found this to be odd since I couldn’t book that online so I asked if this was possible. He explained yes and proceeded to book our tickets. Well when we arrived at the location after running around for 20 minutes looking for the entrance (FYI no one was willing to help us with directions even inside the lobby area of the center) we were told that no I couldn’t escort him to the ice. I was clearly upset and the skate attendant asked if I would like to speak with a manager which I agreed. I asked why would they rent me skates if I couldn’t go on the ice with my son. The manager told me that I was given the wrong information and that I had to buy a ticket. No other explanation or apology for the misinformation. So I purchased the $58 ticket to go on the ice. As I received the skates, I could hear the manager in the background asking his employees if I had purchased my ticket. Almost implying that I had not. Needless to say I wasted money since my toddler was afraid of the ice and all the people on the rink. I wouldn’t be as upset if the manager would have apologized and approached the matter in a differently . Is true what they say about people from NYC,...
