A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Manhattan. My recent stay was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the heart of Manhattan, this boutique hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and sophistication. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and attentive service. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and informed about all the amenities and services available. Their professionalism and genuine friendliness set the tone for a wonderful stay. The location of The Jewel Hotel is unbeatable. Situated just steps away from iconic landmarks like Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Fifth Avenue, it offers easy access to some of the best attractions, shopping, and dining options that New York City has to offer. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, the hotel’s prime location makes it easy to explore the city. The room was a perfect retreat after a busy day in the city. Modern and stylish, it featured comfortable furnishings and thoughtful amenities. The bed was incredibly cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I particularly appreciated the in-room Keurig coffee maker, complimentary bottled water, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning views of the city skyline, adding an extra touch of magic to my stay. One of the standout features of The Jewel Hotel is the Guest-Only Club Living Room, which provides a comfortable space to relax, work, or enjoy complimentary refreshments. The outdoor terrace was a lovely spot to unwind and take in the views of Rockefeller Center. The fitness center, though compact, was well-equipped and allowed me to maintain my workout routine during my stay. Dining at The Jewel Hotel was also a pleasure. The on-site restaurant offered a delicious menu with a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The quality of the food and the attentive service made each meal a delightful experience. Additionally, the hotel’s proximity to some of New York’s best restaurants means you’re never far from a great dining experience. The Jewel Hotel also takes health and safety seriously. The cleanliness and hygiene standards were impeccable, giving me peace of mind during my stay. The attention to detail in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment was evident throughout the hotel. In conclusion, The Jewel Hotel is truly a hidden gem in the heart of New York City. Its combination of prime location, exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful amenities make it an ideal choice for any traveler. I highly recommend The Jewel Hotel and look forward to returning on my next visit to the city.

The Jewel is, in short, a jewel!! The location was perfectly situated near Rockefeller Center and it is also very close to many subway stations.  We loved how small and boutique this hotel was.  In fact, we saw so few people during our stay (even though it was fully booked) that we almost felt like we were the only ones staying there!  We never saw anyone on our floor, the room was extremely quiet and peaceful. There was zero road noise, no hallway noise, and no elevator noise. The elevators were also quick and usually empty. I have an anxiety when I travel about not having enough drinking water on hand in a hotel. This hotel had an incredible water bottle filling station with fresh, purified water. I filled my bottle before venturing out into the city, upon returning, and many other times. Other hotels need to take notice of this genius feature. There was also a 24-hour coffee/cappuccino/espresso machine on the 2nd floor that had incredible coffee. It was much appreciated when we knew we were going to have a late night. The room itself was very comfortable. The bed and bedding were very comfy, and the pillow was the perfect firmness - we slept great! We had a small fridge in our room which was great to store leftovers. The bathroom was extremely clean. Our only cons here were that there wasn't a fan in the bathroom, and the sliding door to the bathroom was extremely heavy. These were just minor inconveniences and definitely not dealbreakers, though! Checkout was easy - we just told the lady in the lobby what room we were in as we departed. We'll definitely look to stay here again the next time we're in the city.

We stayed here for my wife’s 30th Birthday. The Location is excellent!! Could not ask for a better location!! Now, we stayed in room 1202. Our air conditioner leaked really bad from the condensation. We called the front desk and they sent a really nice technician who was part of the staff up and got it fixed. Thankfully, the hotel has windows that open and so we just had our windows open every night since the weather had some nights with some good cold weather!! The bed was comfortable, our blanket kept sliding off so we used a fleece blanket from the closet instead, and wish the pillows were a little bigger and more comfortable!! The bathroom was really nice!! It was also nice to have filtered fillable water bottle station on every floor. We also had to call the front desk to get a portable fridge since I had insulin. They brought one up and plugged it in for us. I hope from here on out they will get a portable fridge for all rooms!! In all, I would give The Jewel a 4.6 out of 5!! We would stay here again and hope that the next room wont leak from condensation, have a fridge, and bigger pillows!! The room and bathroom were very clean as well!! The staff was friendly and whether the lobby was busy or not the staff would acknowledge you one way or the other!!

One of the worst hotel. Reason being

Once checked in, we noticed the ac was not working or was very slow. We lowered the temperate and left for the day. By the time we returned in the evening, the room was warmer than we left it in the afternoon. We immediately called down to ask for assistance. The maintenance staff was unable to do anything for our unit. He didn’t know how to fix it. He said there was only one person who knew how to fix it and that he wouldn’t be in till 9 the next morning. In alternative, he left us a fan.

While he was there, we informed him that casting was not working on the tv. He tired to see what was wrong with it but could not fix it.

By the morning, the room was not bearable. We called back down, the maintenance person who knew how to check it was finally in. He came in and was unable to fix it from the room. Something about doing a hard rest to the whole system. He also wasn’t able fix the tv casting and said he would switch it out. At this time, we left the hotel without knowing if anything was fixed.

In the afternoon, when we returned the ac started finally working and chrome casting also started working as it from another room. Hoping everything would stay that way, we left for the evening. Unfortentaley, once we returned it was back to 78 degrees. It was cooler outside then inside. Plus at this point the tv would not work. You had to manually turn it on and change the channels. The remote was dead and needed a wireless charger to recharge.

A different person came to check all the items. Just like the pervious person the night before. He also didn’t know how to fix the ac. Told we have wait for the morning person again. The tv was a whole issue. Checked all the wiring and nothing worked. It had to be unplugged to turn off the tv. The remote would not charge even after placed on the charger he brought. He tired another remote with no luck. With no solution, we asked for a second fan to put on the other side of bed. At first he wasn’t sure if we could have the second fan because there was no close outlet. We told him maybe an extenstion cord if they have one. He came back with the fan and no extension cord. Since there was no extension cord, he unplugged the microwave to be able to plug in the fan.

Once he left, we called back downstairs to inform that nothing was resolved. The front desk staff was unable to give any solutions. All they did was offer money off for the nights stay. We were exhausted for night as it was 2:00am so we said fine and ended the call. By the morning, we checked out and inform the staff again that room ac would not work throughout the day or night for the past two nights but decided to work that morning. We asked if there was anything else to do but they could not. He asked if anyone had offered to switch our room which they did not. If someone had, then that would have been better than sleeping in the unbearable...

I attended a graduation at Radio City Music Hall and I opted to stay as close to the venue as possible. I booked my stay at the Jewel after quite a bit of research. The location was perfect, my room, although dated, was comfortable but my TV was not working properly for 3 of the 4 nights I stayed. My family did not travel with our iPads so, aside from our phones, the TV was our primary source of entertainment when we were in our room. After going the first night without the use of the TV (but not without trying to get it to work for quite some time), we went to sleep and dealt with it the next day. The next day we contacted the front desk and asked for new remote batteries which we received promptly. This did not fix the problem prompting another call to the front desk and a visit by one of the staff to check it out Unfortunately they said that they couldn't get it to work either and that we would have to wait for a maintenance representative on Monday. By Tuesday our remote was reset / reprogrammed by maintenance and we could use the tv just in time for our last night. Upon checkout we asked to speak to a manager and Elizabeth came to greet us in the lobby. We explained our situation (which was documented with each of our calls to the staff) and we asked for some type of concession on our final bill for the inconvenience. Elizabeth politely denied our request but offered to give us a nice discount on a future stay. I explained to her that there may not be a next time as we were only in town for a graduation. I can understand if I frequented the hotel for business…then her offer would have been great. But that's not the case and, after informing her of this, her decision did not change. It still amazes me that some managers don't see the whole picture. I wasn't specific in my request and frankly, any concession would have been acceptable and an acknowledgement of my problem. Instead, I'm posting this review for hundreds, maybe thousands to see which is potentially far more costly than taking care of the problem on the spot. I work in management in the automotive industry and live every day with the reality that, without satisfied customers, you don't have business Unfortunately, the Jewel manager did not handle the situation adequately and I don't feel like there was any appreciation of...
