Worst experience ever, they started my root canal and booked me for my next appt one month later. When I went to continue treatment they only clean my tooth. They gave me another appt to remove the filling and to continue with the root canal but I was not aware is was going to be a different dentist.
When I went to my visit with a different dentist she stated that my insurance did not covered the root canal. After showing them prove since day one of the approval notice. She suggested to pay out of pocket for a treatment that I started already and now they informing me that the insurance did not approved it. ( which it was approved since day one,)
I called my insurance and apparently the referral expired because they did not finish the root canal on time as they should have. Unfortunately. they wasted my time at 188th street.
In addition. They moved my appointment a couple of times with no notice of the change of date/ time. This was so annoying and unprofessional because it seems like they did not care of their patient or work schedule. I requested time off a couple of time. Patient should be treated differently, just like I was mindful by always arriving on time. They should respect patient work schedule as well. I’m never again going...
Read moreThe rating is based on different services I've received here. The basic medical, pediatrics and GYNO are great. I admire and am thankful to the doctors, nurses and medical assistants here. However the reception staff that checks you in at the pediatrics and GYNO office (which also doubles as the behavioral health office) are AWFUL. I am unemployed, desperately looking for work, give me one of those jobs. This staff is supposed to check you in and type in your information. They are as intelligent and as useful as squashed bugs. What does it hurt to do it well and be POLITE to people, without disappearing for 10-20 minutes while everyone lines up just to register for their appointment. Then they finally show up at the desk and are rude to the clients. That along with the personal conversations they have while you're standing there waiting for them while they ignore you. St Barnabas, Union Community Health, pay what you must to these people. But make sure they are useful, half way intelligent and grateful to have a job that requires no more than knowing how to do data entry. It's time you did basic best practices training with your front office staff and make sure they are there at their desk, are helpful,...
Read moreAbsolutely ridiculous & irresponsible. ((((When i went in the staff was nice!)))) however , My appointment was January 9th , it’s now February 2nd and they still don’t have my results. I’ve called 4 times today & although i know and understand it isn’t the people I’m on the phone with fault .. it’s still aggravating. They’ve transferred me several times to the department i need and no answer within the last few hours. My results aren’t even on the portal. It’s baffling to me. While writing this review the doctor called me and within a matter of a minute or two she was trying to brush me off of the phone even though i was explaining to her I’m not clear on anything. And during my appointment i told her specifically what i needed to know. I understand it’s in the Bronx but we’re still humans , we should be getting treated the same way anyone else would outside of the Bronx. Now i need to take another day to get a second opinion bc i don’t feel clear on anything at all and feel like i was told everything is okay just to not have to keep...
