Woodhaven Rifle & Pistol Range — Attraction in New York

I had a great experience with Woodhaven Rifle and Pistol range. Woodhaven R&P is definitely a rare gem. Don, his brother Mike, and several other patrons warmly welcomed me to the range. The atmosphere is friendly and family oriented. This was my first pistol purchase after receiving my license. I noticed that the establishment is clean, organized, and has an assortment of firearms and accessories at excellent prices. Many of the patrons seem to be current or former members of law enforcement. Woodhaven also offers firearm safety and firearm handing classes, however, Don said that he had not yet scheduled any for this spring. Don and one other patron also mentioned that members can rent firearms to try out on the range.

Overall, A+ customer service. I will join the range and take Woodhaven's firearm safety class as possible.

Glad I found woodhaven rifle and pistol range. Ran in last minute to grab some ammo. They did have everything I needed no problem. Asked Mike to do some price comparison on a HK match he was $12 dollars more but they did all the paperwork and filing, which to me is a big deal. Then I purchased a savage rifle actually was cheaper then the Long Island shop. Don mounted my opticas on both the hk and savage. Nice clean job and showed me how to adjust both. I did became a member at the range, which is getting a major face lift. I also signed up for there CCW class. The best part of being a member they HELP WITH BOTH PISTOL AND RIFLE RENEWAL PAPERWORK. Priceless. Very honest and helpful 2 great guys very knowledgeable I believe they are brothers? If so pretty amazing they work well together. Great place shop...

Went in to pick up some ammo I ordered online and the guy behind the counter was really sketchy. Barely wanted to hold a conversation with me. I asked him to look at a shotgun I bought cause it felt a little rough after a take down and cleaning. He clearly didn’t want to, he just pumped the forearm once and said its fine. Definitely not safe, I could have blown my face off if there was something really wrong. He didn’t even finish the sale with me and walked away twice to help “members”, Who clearly just wanted to chat not buy anything. Although ammo prices are good here the experience you expect to have or are use to having in the 2A community definitely lacks at this shop.
