Let me start by saying I came to this nail salon for over a year. I raved about this nail salon specifically Gerisâ services to everyone (family, friends and coworkers -even strangers!) Anyone that knows me, knows Iâll travel for good quality service. I can attest that there has been a few instances where I arrive to my appt that I paid a deposit for and the tech is still servicing someone. Iâve had to wait anywhere from 5-20 mins but I never made a big deal because I understand that some designs take time or they may just be running behind. However, yesterday I had an appt for 1:30pm for a soak off and brand new set. My appt was initially set for 1pm for a soak off, new set and a gel pedicure, but I had texted about a week in advanced asking to move the pedicure for a later date. Luz texted me saying she would move the soak and new set for 1:30pm due to the change (even though a pedicure doesnât take 30 mins) Yesterday I texted them around 12pm letting them know I was running a bit behind, I had a back surgery about 2 months ago and have my mom here from overseas taking care of me. Luz informed me that the appt could be moved to 1:45pm and that I had 14 mins from that time to avoid a late fee. The text reads as follows âHello Stephanie this is Luz, the latest to be able to get the same services would be 1:45, otherwise you wouldn't be able to get the services you booked, because you have a Soak off. And remember after that 14 min late a late fee it's apply.â When it was time to pay, I noticed a charge for $15 and was told it was a late fee charge, I read the message to Geris and she denied what it said stating that it wasnât what Luz meant. Iâm guiding myself off the message sent to me and itâs very clear. Also, I took a taxi cab service that sends me a text right after they complete the trip. I received the text at 1:48pm but Geris stated I arrived later than that time. Itâs a shame because as a business owner she should value the customers that have brought her more business and have always raves about the services. Lose a valuable customer over $15 makes absolutely no sense! Considering the fact that Iâve had to wait a few times for my services to start because theyâre running behind but I never ask for a discount over that. I have always valued Gerisâ and her staffâs work and tipped accordingly. No sense of customer service or basic human decency considering I had a back surgery about 2 months ago and have made it my mission to get my nails done at her...
   Read moreUnfortunately, I think this will be my last time coming here. The work is nice although my last experience I did notice my acrylic set was a bit sloppy. Only I probably would notice but still being that this place is pretty pricey I expect to walk out with a clean crisp set.
My main issue is that I feel the prices are constantly fluctuating with no explanation as to why. They also attempted to not apply the full deposit I paid prior to my final payment .Which they were still 3 dollars short but I left it alone. There is no reason why I would be charged tax on a deposit thatâs suppose to go towards my nails and then they choose to not fully apply my deposit towards my final payment. Then to TOP it off, as I am about to pay with my card as I normally do I get told that I have to fill out a credit card authorization form which appeared to be slightly better quality then loose leaf paper. I asked why I would I have to give this information and all I was told is itâs new. Iâm sorry but I felt very uncomfortable having to leave my card information on a piece a paper stacked under a table in a nail salon. & if this was a new policy then they should let customers know that prior to their appointment. Luckily I was able to pay via Zelle but I was very disappointed with my experience.

What should have tipped me off to the fact that this is an illegitimate business is the fact that the salon requests deposits to hold appointments. Moreover, the customer service is abysmal. The receptionist cannot decide if she is merely a receptionist or the manager, on top of other blatant and rude lies. Further, the condescending tone is truly disgusting. The receptionist lacks basic etiquette and offers fake, condescending, apologies. My 80 year old grandmother arrived 8 mins late and received unacceptably rude treatment, and was refused a refund even though she did not receive services. All in all, disgusting experience, just go somewhere else.
The response below given by the âestablishmentâ is absolute trash, which was expected. Instead of providing accurate information, letâs make corrections, shall we?
