Very very unprofessional! I just went to try and visit my loved one. I was treated horribly by the managers Ms Benjamin and Mr Fade.
I entered the facility and I had on jewelry. I was told I needed to clear the metal detector. So I went out to my car and removed all my items. I broke my bracelet trying to get it off. Then I cleared the detector only to be denied entry. Mr Fade was extremely rude and Ms Benjamin would not even move off her chair when I asked to speak with her directly.
This was an issue but my biggest grievance is the treatment. I was ignored and told my visit was denied. I asked for a name and reason and was ignored. It was irresponsible behavior especially from a leadership team. The treatment was so outrageous that their own staff members tried to explain on my behalf. They were also ignored.
It’s sad because people travel to see their family and friends at this facility. I can only imagine how they treat their residents on a daily basis. I will be filing a formal complaint as well. As a manager and professional I would never treat any person this way and we need to rethink the individuals we place in these roles. This is a poor reflection of this facility and it’s leadership. Please put better individuals in these leadership roles. Choose people who have integrity, common sense, empathy, and management skills!
I truly believe that if this facility was in another location these individuals would be held accountable. Because it’s located in Newark they think it’s acceptable but it’s not! My score is actually a zero they don’t even...
Read moreI called Mr. Hunter to help because my son was sick. He transferred me to a program director and her name was Dr. P who would not give me her full last name. She is not a Doctor but instead a program director. When I told her about my son being sick; potentially with Covid she said, and I quote “I cannot confirm or deny any program related issues, but they will investigate further”. When I asked about something else, she said again…I cannot confirm or deny any program related issues, but they will investigate further. The third time she said it I had to stop her as I was already repeating it with her. She was very snarky at best and proved to be of no help. In addition, they must participate in rehab classes. He has been there for 4 days and all the program personnel said daily was that it was too hot and to sign the attendance paper and leave. That’s certainly not helping anyone. There is no paper towel or soap in the bathrooms and the place is beyond overcrowded. The administrative staff is of no help. I agree with the other people who gave negative reviews. They are accurate at best. Something needs to be done. Clearly, they are setting up these people for failure. Unfortunately, the taxpayers are paying these people who obviously...
