DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I am speaking of the location in Orlando which is located about 10 min away from OIA. Worst staff / experience I have ever encountered. Would give zero stars if I could. I almost NEVER write reviews, but for this place...I had to.
When we first got there, the lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and had an attitude with my wife. She-the employee- was selling us the Sun Pass, which for those that don't know, is for when you are in Orlando and the toll roads. We had lived in Orlando for 8 years and had come back to visit so we know what roads had tolls...and it wasn't all of them but was unsure if it was mandatory from the company (Fox) or mandatory for the city to have a Sun Pass. My wife asked if the Sun Pass was mandatory as it was a $13 per day charge. She -the employee- snapped back and had a nasty attitude and stated that "every road in Orlando is a toll road!". Which is completely untrue. She also took my credit card and was acting very shady with it. When my wife tried to look over the counter to see what she was doing with it, the lady was irritated and quickly put the card in a location that we couldn't see. The counter was very high, vertically.
We were pressed for time as we were in town to visit my dad who was actively passing away from cancer. We had very little time to get to him, and this was holding us up. She moved slow and was never nice. To be fair, I didn't share with the lady my situation, so she never knew. But looking back, I doubt that her knowing my situation would have made her move any faster, considering her attitude.
When we got to the car, it reeked of marijuana. It seemed like they had just hot boxed it. The smell lasted for the entire time we had the vehicle.(5 days) We just didn't have the time to go back and get a new vehicle. My dad was fading fast, and we needed to get to Deltona Florida which is about a 40 min drive from OIA. Once we were driving, my wife looked at the receipt and things just didn't add up.
When we returned the car, we were at the front desk to ask for an explanation of the charges. The guy at the desk tried to vaguely explain the charges, but on the 3rd time said, "I don't have time for this! You will have to speak to a manager! NEXT person in line!" We were not about to miss our flight due to this, so we had to jump on the shuttle and headed to the airport.
All in all, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS SCAM OF A BUSINESS. ALL the workers seemed like they hated their job, ALL of the employees seemed shady and had ZERO customer service abilities. I mean ZERO craps given from everyone I interacted with. RENT FROM AN ACTUAL REPUPITAL CAR RENTAL BUSINESS like Hertz, Alamo...anywhere but here. Even if it costs more...its worth it to not go to the place. Seriously a...
Read moreBooked this car rental company via Priceline. Called to confirm their criteria for under 25 rental policy. First call, they would waive the extra fee for 21-24 year olds. Second call, they told me they do not waive the fee. My daughter arrived and called the shuttle service. First call, she waited for sometime and got disconnected, she called again, same thing. She ended up calling a lift and paid $15+ to get to the rental place. She showed them her normal car insurance through USAA plus the additional insurance through Alliance(Priceline). The agent said she needed to buy their insurance or she wouldn't be able to rent from them. I was on the phone hearing the conversation. In addition to the extra extra insurance costing $67+ they threw in roadside assistance for $19.96. Her USAA has all that. I strongly believe this company must give them bonuses/spiffs to add these extra up-sells. I am warning anyone who may rent from this unethical company to rent elsewhere. I spoke with a manager that suggested she must not of shown them her auto insurance info (she did because I was listening to her telling the person). He will not reverse the extra charges. So, what can someone do but warn other customers. I will never rent from this company, and I will warn others. Young women go elsewhere. The car was dependable and the turn in and shuttle to the airport went well. I will give them...
Read moreRecently rented a car at Fox rental at Denver international Airport for the Fourth of July week. I shouldâve read the other reviews because my experience was exactly the same. Customer service was definitely without any, personality, professionalism, or customer appreciation. Waiting in line was over an hour, mostly because people were going back up to the counter asking where their cars were. When we finally got to the counter, We were not even greeted professionally. The main impetus was to sell additional amenities, and upgrade. I had purchased insurance through orbitz and have my own liability and collision insurance for rentals as well , but they pushed their own insurance indicating that if anything occurred, they would have to be paid first upfront. I think orbit needs to more clear for their customers for purchasing third-party insurance. It indicated our car would not be ready for at least 45 minutes apparently they do not know what a reservation means , they tried to push a different car on us so we could have it right away. They also said they recommended a toll insurance and when I asked if there were quite a few tolls in Denver, they said yes, but I did find out that the tolls are only on express lanes. When we finally got our car I was quite happy with the one I originally reserved, which which was the VW Toas, 2024 performed very well. But never any apology for the...
