2024.06.06 for a 0600 delivery.... first, wear a reflective vest and know your truck and trailer tags.... second, I was told 0600, they say 0800, it is now 1337, and I walked over to inquire, she says there are 7 drivers before me still, I ask, don't you go by appointment times, she replies they do but are backed up.... seems they are always backed up, judging by the reviews.... I've seen drivers arrive, walk out wirh their paperwork, come back to their trucks, I don't see them any longer, how are they finished before others that arrived before them????..... this is the worst Americold location I've ever been to, they usually take you before or at your appointment times and you're finished in a timely fashion.... I'll update once I'm done.... I did also have a 2nd delivery to do in Elizabeth for 1100 (think I won't make that one, eh?).... I'm from Jersey, we up here are suppose to have it together, the South and Midwest are suppose to be the slow ones....first update: 1832 I finally got the call to dock for the Unloading....second update: 2118 they entered the trailer (almost a 3hr wait from the time I docked)....third update: after seeing the Green light flashing, I assumed someone would come out to hand over my paperwork, waited, then all of sudden the trailer began to start shaking again, I go back to the trailer, I manage to slide my phone into the back of tne trailer and took a pic, it definitely didn't shoe 15 double stacked pallets, they must have unloaded the entire trailer, even though it was stated a Partial Load, so finally at 0303 I got my paperwork....so, my the time I arrived at 0537 on the 6th, finally checked in at 0621, and getting my paperwork at 0303 on the 7th, so a total of almost 21.5hrs.....at least Wakefern in Elizabeth took me in right away, from arriving at 0356 to getting the call for the Lumper Fee at 0550, just 1h54m total, a lot...

This place is an absolute disgrace. I’ve been stuck here for 10 HOURS waiting for a dock door — not a full unload, not a complicated process — just a door. Ten. Freaking. Hours. If you’re a driver, DO NOT — and I mean NEVER — come to this warehouse unless you enjoy wasting your entire day while being treated like garbage.

The staff here are either clueless, careless, or completely indifferent. You can walk in asking for an update and be met with blank stares, shrugs, or the classic “we’ll let you know” that never turns into anything. No updates, no respect, and not even the slightest sense of urgency. It’s like they’ve made it their mission to test your patience to the absolute breaking point.

This isn’t just a bad day — this place is consistently trash based on what I’ve heard from other drivers stuck in the same hellhole. They treat truckers like second-class citizens, as if our time, hours-of-service rules, or mental health mean nothing.

If you’re a shipper, receiver, broker, or company that uses this facility — shame on you. You are part of the problem for allowing this kind of incompetence and disrespect to go unchecked.

Avoid this place like it’s radioactive. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here, and I’ll be warning every driver I know. If you value your time, your sanity, or your career — stay far away...

Got to facility 12 midnight for a 1 am appointment and left 16:45 pm that evening. 16 hours wasted. Poor management. Was told they are not receiving at the moment and the floor is full. Typical excuse everywhere. Why order products if you got know where to store it. Then after waiting for 8 hours they no longer working with appointments. Now it’s based on the need of the customers. So trucks that have 8 am appointments be getting door before trucks that was waiting the night before. Total disaster. Need better management. I should say I’ve been to this facility prior and I was in and out in 4 hours. So it’s a hit or miss. You have to go with your hopes very low and if that day these union members decide to do some work then you’ll be out within 4 hours. I must commend them because when I got to facility there was at least 50 trucks waiting and counting by the time I left it was knock down a lot. Parking is on street only. I’m giving 2 stars because I’ve been here before and was out...
