Rail Road Cigars — Attraction in Newark

Located in the Ironbound side of NewArk, close to Route 1, there is some difficulty in locating this place for first time visitors. Once you get past that, you can park in the lot inside or on the streets. A small door deceptively leads you into the main smoking level. The double height ceiling adds to the ambience greatly aids smoke evacuation. The walk in humidor is stocked with selections, that cater to any discerning smoker. Outside cigars are NOT permitted (They were once upon a time for a small cutting fee..But we know what that leads to..). Don't forget to bring your own favorite spirits or beer. Very nominal corkage is applied to per person who drinks. They provide the glasses and ice. Soda / Snacks are available for purchase Whether you are by yourself, or with a group, you can always find a cozy spot. There is upstairs level for VIP Paid members, and a separate party room to rent. Other amenities include Free Wi-Fi, A pool table. For those who prefer high chairs, bar counter type seating is also there.

Iron Bounds has plenty of restaurants to order food for delivery if you so wish to & you can enjoy your favorite game or time here.

Two stars based off my experience. Stopped in on Sunday 3/12/23 for my first time after much friend recommendation. The man at the bar pointed me toward the walk in humidor, as I like to ask out of respect for the owner. Once I selected a cigar, the woman behind the bar checked me out and walked away and sat down to be on her phone. . She offered no cut, no light. I had to ask twice where is the cutter and where to get a light. She threw her torch across the bar, which is a nice customer service touch, especially those who are first time customers. I would return as I like the ambience and vibe but I would expect better a better customer experience. This place gives me the feeling that they only tend to known and veteran customers which is not good for new or first time customers. Two stars based off my first visit. I am a fan of this place. Wanted something lowkey so we decided to ring in the New Year here. I must say it was the best random decision we made. The space is nice and open, comfortable seating (very homey). great selection of cigars the staff is always friendly and welcoming. the DJ... good selection of old & new house music. I didn't sit still all night. The crowd I would say is 30 & up for the most part... so the bs levels are pretty low. This was my 2nd visit & I look forward to going back soon. It's such a huge space, I'd suggest it for cigar fans for a party. And whats uper...
