Stoller Wine Bar | Newberg — Attraction in Newberg

Located in the charming downtown of Newberg, the Chahalem Winery Tasting Room is situated inside of a brick building that used to be an auto mechanic shop, now turned into a hip, open air space. Great atmosphere, and we were told that they used to hold a variety of events in pre-covid times. We had a chilly tasting outdoors under a tent. I brought my own blanket, so we stayed warm enough on an icy grey winter day. The wine host was knowledgeable and very welcoming and friendly. The wines were of high quality and complexity. They had just released the 2020 Rose, which was our absolute favorite of the tasting. The 2018 Reserve Pinot was very good too, and recommended for die-hard Oregon Pinot drinkers. Alright, where to start with this place?

I first arrived to head toward the public parking for the on-the-go food venders here in Newberg and had not a single place to park, so I deccided to go park on a UNRESERVED parking space on Chehalem's parking lot and decided to head toward the food trucks, before I could have a seat, some unhinged Michillen Man shows up with the high and mighty attitude toward me and my Uncle, asking us to park someplace else because it's somehow "Reserved", which I was 2 spaces from the farthest sign for reserved parking, so after the confrontation and Mr. Pillowbag whining about a freaking PARKING SPACE when clearly, no wine drinkers were out that day- so in conclusion :

I have gone a couple times now. My friend and I attended Bingo night and it was so fun! It is a beautiful space and recently enjoyed the covered patio with 2 other moms with our young babies in their strollers and felt very comfortable and relaxed. I really enjoyed the Stoller 2022 Pinot Noir and my friend had the Chehalem Valley Chardonnay. They have a refreshing cocktail menu and I liked the Lavender Lemon Drop. The pork belly BLT was delicious!!! My favorite sandwich right now. They have a veggie sandwich as well that is loaded. Everyone in the group loved the cookies.
