Lyrics Cafe — Restaurant in Newberg

The reasons I love Lyrics go well beyond the coffee. Starting as soon as you walk in, it is clear how much effort has gone into creating a welcoming, casual space that you actually want to spend time in. And then you meet the people. This is where Lyrics truly shines. Rob and his team of rockstars embody the concept of customer service but take it beyond that, and make you feel like an old friend or family member every time you come in. I really can't express in this space how fantastic everyone is - the owner literally offered me his own vehicle to get home in when I had car trouble after stopping to grab breakfast and coffee. Add that to perfectly brewed local coffee, house made food (definitely try the breakfast sandwich) and baked goods, and you've got the absolute ideal coffeehouse experience. Lyrics has become my go-to in Newberg, and I recommend you stop in - you won't be disappointed.

Wow what a GREAT EXPERIENCE...today Thursday about 1030am. I had called to find out if they had cinnamon rolls and scones. I wanted the very best!! I drove over, was lucky to find a parking right in front of the restaurant, and called letting them know that I was parked right in front and if someone could bring my order out to the car(handicaped). The girl who answered took my order, and said no problem in bringing it out. I picked up 3 cinnamon rolls and a raspberry scone. I got the order, paid for it and left, I had my coffee and thought I would have my scone while driving. Wow Wow this was absolutely amazing DELICIOUS FRESH and I was impressed. As former GFU students who frequented the old Coffee Cottage, my husband and I had to drive down from Salem to check out the new Lyrics Cafe. Wow. They have done a fabulous, fabulous job. The place is cozy, but so much more open and filled with natural light. More seating and TWO bathrooms now instead of one (whoohoo!). Not to mention, we happened to meet the owner, Rob, while we were there and got to chat a bit with him. An awesome dude who has poured his heart into this project. The coffee was excellent, and the food was wonderful (I meant to take a picture but seriously ate it so fast I didn’t remember until after because it was so good). We had a cinnamon roll and the breakfast sandwich (the touch of aioli on the breakfast sandwich made it 10/10). If we weren’t moving out of state we would be making the drive from Salem to Newberg often for this cafe....
