Total takeout : Go there if you are into less people, low budget party nights without the intention to get drunk.
The management is a rip off!!!
If you are trying to get the feeling of a Night club with ambience and people this is not the place. There is definitely some ambience but no people.
As history taught, places where things are there but people isn't raises an alarm - poor management.
I went there on 15 Jan, 2022, A SATURDAY NIGHT.
Let me tell you what I felt and saw
Went in with no expectations
Good parts : There is a huge screen behind DJ.
Needs improvement: Empty place with holes on ceilings, walls are plastic - temporary setup. Don't lean anywhere except the counter.
Usually all the clubs that I have been to, for $25 entry fee we get atleast free water, coke, ginger ale, sometimes a free drink. Here drinks cost 200%. A glass of water 3$, diet coke 5$. Bring your on water if you are just going to give company for your friend.
And being the fact that I have a master's degree in architecture and bachelor's in civil engineering and being done lot of interior design projects. The set up needs a lot of improvement, lights are hitting randomly. Lasers are dead or not working properly. I have no idea why there is a chandelier being hung disproportionately for the space.
Sound system is okay, the amplifier is not able to receive the frequency even though the DJ is using FL studio the amp is not dissecting and playing smoothly. It will feel like instead of surround system you just put speakers around you and the voice is same from all directions. Bass is not hitting peaks.
Request to the management: Take a visit to nightclub with good reviews. Sit...
Read moreBeing a tourist who just wants to have a drink in a place and discover the culture of it turned out very bad.
I just ordered a Bourbon whisky and they served me what seemed like a Scotch with bubbling water and I told the girl and the bar that I ordered a bourbon and this is not, she said yes it is, its a Jamesons with soda. I said I ordered a bourbon, so she said yes, thats why, a Jameson... (a bartender should know a jameson is a irish whisky and not a american bourbon such as a jack daniels or jim bean or etc.) so I explained this to her and she left me.
I couldnt believe that she just left me there ignoring me and angry with me. So i asked the other bartender and this was a major shock i had: he came and after i explained what happened he said well that's what you got so DRINK IT!
I was in shock and couldn't believe why they were treating me like that after my first order of the night. So I explained again what happened to him and he called his security who escorted me out in front of my friends and family kicking me out of the place.
I then proceed to talk to a manager who was even less comprehensive, his name was Mike, only name I got, the girl was working in the bar the night of May 3rd already May 4th cause it was 1am aprox. And the man as well in the bar.
Whoever they took me out of the whole place and didnt event let me wait for my family who where in the patio area and didnt know about this.
Unreal. Im from Spain and I work in the hospitality industry here in USA and i can never ever imagine giving such a terrible experience to a normal customer who just got a wrong drink.
They made me feel terrible...
Read moreMy first time in California. Judging by the other reviews this place has dead nights and packed nights. Unfortunately I went on a dead night. It's probably different on a good night so this review may not be reflective of all nights. Check if there is a crowd outside before going in cause otherwise your probably wasting your time. They are not going to tell you a the door when you pay the cover charge that it's empty inside.
On this day the DJ was pretty bad too. Could not even match the BPM when mixing songs. DJ could not read the small crowd that was dancing either. The moment the crowd started to get into it he would just cut to a non danceable song. Completely clueless DJ.
Staff are extremely nice and pleasant though. Even the bouncers were really nice.
Bar staff were very pleasant too.
I will definitely give this place another shot.
Dance clubbing in general around Irvine:
Check that there is a crowd outside before going in cause it might be dead inside but they charge you anyway.
Check the demographic composition of the crowd outside as a reflection of what's inside. If that's not your crowd then go somewhere else.
Listen to the DJ for a bit. If they can't even do a basic criss fade and match BPM don't bother going in.
Check that the music is your style too. It would appear that in Irvine Trance music mostly attracts an Asian (Chinese) crowd and almost no one else. On the other hand Latin / R&B Hip Hop attracts a more...
