This store has a fresh brand new look inside thanks to their updated remodel. The bright lighting, new flooring and floor displays makes you feel like it is the first time you have shopped at this Macy's.
The first floor has home, kids and LensCrafters, looks very bright and makes it much easier for me to see the products I am trying to find. This home area always has the quality of bedding and towels that I shop for; I am a little picky and prefer high quality threading.
Up on the cosmetic, jewelry, handbags, shoes and men's floor - the new lighting makes you feel like you are shopping in the daylight, making it easy to truly see the colors of their products. I always like their men's area because they have just what I am looking for in suits from Alfani, relaxed wear in surf and when I need to be fashionable INC and Calvin Klein are right next to each other.
Upstairs on the 3rd floor they were just finishing up the new remodel, but it already looks like a brand new area thanks to the shiny floors and bright lights. My fashionista shopping partner, pointed out that the ladies floor transitions from one lifestyle to another almost seamlessly. Nothing like shopping INC, walking across the aisle to free people and then easily finding activewear.
One of the managers was very helpful telling me where items were located to make shopping more easy and enjoyable due to the new remodel. I also noticed that if you made an online purchase for the free in store pickup, it is located in home on the 1st floor right inside the door that leads to the parking lot. Very easy to get to and has dedicated customer service.
Nice work Macy's, thanks for the...
Read moreI am truly in shock with how horrible the customer service is. I went to the mac counter to try on some bronzer and was greeted by the mac representative on her phone. After asking her for help she said she had to take her break and had someone else come and help me from the chanel counter. The woman she sent over treated me as if I was a burden and was so impatient with me. She had no idea what anything was because she didn’t even work for mac. She used certain makeup terms that I didn’t even understand and did not help me at all. She ended up just handing me some random bronzers and gave me a brush and told me to apply it myself. Clearly, she didn’t know what was in her job description. This woman eventually passed me on to another mac representative who did not even offer me any help. She showed me various different bronzers and, again, gave me a brush and told me to apply it myself. At this point, I had to askher to put it on for me. She did not give me any expertise and at that point I was at my last. I left and went straight to Neiman Marcus, where I was immediately greeted so politely and given all the advice and expertise I needed. I spent little to no time there and bought the perfect bronzer from there, no...
Read moreTo be frank, it was a pretty woman scenario. I think that the fact I look younger and I was asking for an expensive item made my experience the way it was. Let me make it clear, I was very nice this whole time.
I came in to compare prices of a particular item, which was around 150$ at another store. I love a deal, and the stores were next to each other so hey, what’s the harm? I asked the lady at the front desk if she could show me where the item was and she seemed very annoyed. She sighed super loud and weakly gestured to where it was. She also made a comment about how it was very expensive, and if I needed something more in my "price range," she could show me. This was incredibly off putting. I’ve never been treated like I could not afford something, and even if I couldn’t, why would I ask where it was if I clearly knew what I was looking for and therefore probably the price as well, or at least the range of where it is. I was just really disappointed and a little hurt. I left shortly after. Disappointing. I went to the other store and bought it there instead. Fun fact, it was cheaper at the other store anyways. I was wish she had more decorum on how to...
