Hi,
I went to the consulate on Friday (Jan 15th) at 9:36am for 10am appointment. The two women I spoke to were very disrespectful. One of the worst experiences I have ever gone through with immigration. It was all over outdated applications. I came in to submit my application for a Visa with a Visa Issuance number. At first, I had completed the wrong application then the first lady had me fill another one (no problem right?). Then I brought it back to her and had her rudely question me about my plans in Korea. I said I was working and she realized she had given me the wrong application. I had to fill out another (no problem right?, no). At that point, she became irate. She told me I was wasting her time and holding up the line (only four people were inside). She blamed me for not printing out the correct forms they had emailed me. She would not STOP AND LET IT GO. I broke down in tears in front of the people who were there and had a nice woman comfort me and give me tissues. She purposely made me sit and wait until 10:47am before she decided I waited enough. Then bought another disrespectful woman to tell me everything was my fault and that they could deny my Visa at that moment for "false" documents. I have never been so humiliated, degraded and embarrassed in front of complete strangers for no reason. It wasn't a big deal at all and they made it. I would like an apology for my horrific experience by these two women.
Update: I called the consulate today because they told me my Visa would be ready to print in two weeks, it's been three. I called them and asked. The lady on the phone said it's ready to be printed. Even though, it said that it was under review. I checked twice, called again and got another lady, who said, they don't plan on releasing my Visa because of my Google review! She said, she has all the control and there is nothing I can do about it. That they will keep my Visa pending for however long they want. On God, this actually happened. Called another consulate and they said they will do my process over again. Thank God, good people...
ย ย ย Read moreOne of the workers here is INCREDIBLY rude. I presented the documents Iโd printed off of the website, and she claimed that I brought the wrong forms and went on for about two straight minutes about how irresponsible I am in front of a full room of people. A korean person right before me had brought the wrong form as well, but she simply gave him the correct form and didnโt say anything. I asked her if any additional documents are required, and instead of answering, she told me I was unprepared and told me to come back when I was ready. Another person right after me asked what documents he needed to bring, and she happily gave him a list of the required documents. They are incredibly unprofessional and have a strong bias against those who visit. At one point I asked my partner if we had printed the forms from the website to get a second confirmation, and the lady interrupts and says โAre you visiting Korea or is he?โ and proceeds to tell me itโs my responsibility to print all the forms and demands I show her where I downloaded it from. Every time I have visited the embassy I have had a horrible experience. Others in the reviews seem to have received the...

My Korean is extremely limited but she assisted me in both Korean and English. Anything bureaucratic is going to be confusing to the average person so I really appreciated her continued help.
I will say the website is a bit hard to navigate in English, but there are ways to work around it. If youโre even somewhat Korean-English bilingual, Iโd recommend searching the website in Korean and then pressing the English option in the top right corner. Also, instead of using the website search function, try googling with keywords under...
