Linne Woods — Attraction in Niles Township

Picturesque park and trails nestled in Morton Grove, and not too far from the highway. Lots of open grassy areas to play, with both paved and unpacked trails winding through the forest and open prairie. You'll see lots of walkers, hikers, bikers, fishers and even some horseback riders. The paved trail is mostly flat, but the unpaved trails undulate, with a mix of packed dirt, gravel and packed grass. Fairly easily navigable, although it can get muddy in spots. There are picnic groves, and restrooms open during the warmer months. Great place to get away from it all...

I like that there is both paved and unpaved trails. The paved is full of fast bicyclist so walking it with a toddler isn't the safest and my preschooler was afraid of a bike hitting her scooter so we found our way to the unpaved where there were minimal bicyclist and my little ones could run the trail and explore.

I'm happy bicyclist have a beautiful place to ride that also gives walkers and kids a safer option though it's not really stroller or scooter friendly being unpaved.

My visit to Linne woods was not dope. Google lists the close time at 11pm. I drove there today at 645pm, parked and went for a stroll. I returned to my vehicle 20 minutes later to a cop giving me a ticket and stating my vehicle was about to get towed. Apparently the parking lot closes at 6 despite the forest preserve closing at 11pm. Information was not clear as far as the parking...
