Marble & Granite Supply of Illinois — Attraction in Niles Township

My complaint is more about the quality of their character than the company. I was driving on the highway with my son when a chunk of wood fell off one of their trucks. It smashed in my headlight and made a 2X4 shaped dent in my hood. If it impacted 2 inches higher, it would have smash through the windscreen right where my son was sitting. My son immediately took photos of the truck that had the unsecured chunks of wood resting near exposed slabs of marble. When I got to work, I phoned the company to explain what happened. They immediately denied that it was their truck until I told them I would send a picture of the truck with their logo plastered on the side of it and the loose wood bouncing around the back of it. I also sent photos of the damage to my headlight and hood. I'm left with $400-$500 worth of damage from their neglect and I have not received any response or reply from the company. I have loved our first kitchen remodel so much. This warehouse had exactly what we wanted. So many beautiful choices, in variety of price levels. Originally I planned to get a countertop and backsplash tiles at Home Depot or Ikea. But not a single option at any stores spoke to me. My hubby and I stopped by Marble and Granite Supply. My husband and I spent a few hours here in the company of Salko who patiently explained the many products available to us and once we had decided on a quartzite he spent even longer as we decided on a slab. Nothing was a problem. Salko was willing to offer an opinion without pressurizing our choice which is really helpful when you are making an expensive purchase like this.
