So I went to Taco Burrito King this past Wednesday, July 5th 2023. I don’t know where I should even begin. I will preface this review by saying that due to the worldwide pandemic this was my first time leaving the safety of my own apartment. I’ll admit that I was nervous after not being in public since march 2020. But my online support group was raving about taco burrito king in Niles. So I mustered up all the courage I could. I tightly secured my N95 mask, and tightly fastened the headband of my face shield. I made sure to double glove it, and attached my on the go hand sanitizer to my belt loop. I was very careful on the two block walk from my apartment to the establishment. I was being mindful, and keeping the 5 foot distance from my fellow travelers. It took me 45 minutes, and I was STARVING by the time I arrived. I was blown away. They had napkin dispensers on all the tables, and they were playing some very catchy South American tunes. The woman that took my order was very pleasant, and helped me make the best choice for my Burrittõ. This may be hard to believe, but I have quite a few dietary restrictions. They also gave you free chips and salsa while you wait for your burrittõ!!! Then it happened. They brought it out, and it was MASSIVE!!!! It was like they brought two footballs wrapped in a tõrtillã. I removed all my protective gear, and with my blade I brought from home I cut that bad boy right down broadway. After securing my blade I blew on one half. I didn’t want to take a “hot bite” and ruin my meal. First bight……. Pure bliss. It’s like the universe revealed itself to me. God touched touched me right on my shoulder, and whispered in my ear “everything is going to be okay”. Anywhõ I will be back for sure for that second bight. I will not fill up on chips next time😂😂😂. Read moreI called in my order at 9:50 pm on 12/27/20 and let them know that I would pick it up at 10:40pm. I gave them enough time to prepare my order. I went at 10:40pm through the drive thru thinking all pickups are being picked through the drive thru due to Covid 19 pandemic. I waited almost 15 minutes through drive thru ( there were 4 cars ahead of me) and when I got to the window, the guy tells me to go inside. I told him that I'm here to pick up my order which I called at 9:50pm. He still insisted that I go inside...so I did, since my children are waiting at home for their meal (I'm a single Dad and didn't have time to cook, since I worked 12 hours today 12/27). I go inside and my order is still not ready....two guys trying to take my order not aware that I ordered my meal at 9:50pm.. First, they insisted that I go inside, then my order isn't ready. What kind of customer service is this? And I had to pay $28 for my order which was not ready when I came inside to pick it up.(I just walked out with my order) I give zero stars to this place because they don't know what is a good customer service. Without us the client, they won't have a job. I would never go here again. I went to Taco Bell and spend way less and still my family had dinner on the table. What's the point of calling in an order if you're still gonna make me wait. First in the drive thru and then inside. I've been here before and they always gave me my order through he drive thru but today the guy at the drive thru wasn't very happy, he was very rude and insisted that I go inside. Went there after work 30 mins ago to buy my friends food at the drive through .the attendant there asked me to pull up closer as it was cold which I did and asked if he’d like me to try park closer which offended him as he misunderstood my tone mistaking it to be rude or angry ,then proceeded inside rambling and gossiped to his coworkers as another person appeared to be mopping the area constantly glaring at me not once but three times .then received the food late and had another coworker bring in the food also glaring even as I told him I was not angry or trying to be rude and apologized if it came across so, but had the door slammed on me . Atleast train your staff the basic behaviour and handling of guests. I work in a restaurant too this behaviour exhibited was unprofessional and not something to be expected in the hospitality industry . Fun fact it’s family owned since 1992 .Their faces made it look like they spit in the food or did something similarly disgusting to the food so literally...
