This park has 3 playgrounds. One is for smaller children, one is for older kids and one a train themed play area. By the little play area, they have a carousel ($2/rider). The park also has volleyball courts, golf course, miniature golf, skate park, tennis courts, and baseball diamonds by the Forest Park pool. The park is nicely shaded in many areas (trees). They also allow you to use the shelters to host parties. This park has a nice paved trail for walks. The trail goes from one entrance all the way thru the park and you can continue the trail thru the residential areas. I've never done the full trail, but from the small children park to baseball diamonds and back is 0.93 miles. The small child play area was just redone and is a bit nerve wrecking for the Littles under 4 or 5. They added a huge slide and rope bridge with no net. They also have some work out equipment now. It is a nice remodel.

This park is truly one of the best. Nestled among lush trees, it offers plenty of shade and a scenic atmosphere. There’s no shortage of activities, including swimming, miniature golf, skating ramps, a merry-go-round, paved walking paths, and even train rides through the Nickel Plate Express. With multiple playgrounds, there’s something for both younger and older kids to enjoy. The one we visited this time was especially well-designed for all ages. The park also features ample seating, picnic tables, and shelters, making it perfect for gatherings. Plus, having restrooms at the park is always a perk with kiddos.

Going here on 4th of July has become a tradition for my family. They have a festival every year, with lots of free family activities, like rock climbing, inflatable basketball, bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses. There's food, for purchase, from various vendors, and Fireworks at the end of the night! My kids are 7, 10, 14, and 20, so it can be difficult to find things we can all enjoy as a family that won't break the bank. This is one event we look forward to each year!

Tip: Grab a bag of Kettle Corn to enjoy during the Fireworks, and bring a blanket and/or chairs for the large grassy lot! There's a large hill and flat land to set up a comfy area for the show. 🎇 A wagon is great if you...

This park has a lot of cool stuff for kids of all ages. The main nice playground (with the forest themed play structure and mushroom stepping stones things) is really nice. There's volleyball where kids can also play with sand, there's a toddler playground shaped like a train a bit off to the side, and there's also a Carousel and putt putt next to the playground. Needless to say my daughter absolutely loves the Carousel. Definitely a fun park for kids, just don't go during weird off hours because I have noticed shady looking people there at off times instead of typical families with young kids when we go morning or...
