I’m not one to usually give one-star reviews, but after the online pickup experience my mom and I had today, this Kroger absolutely deserves it.
The lady who brought the order out to my mom’s car switched the order with another customer’s, and luckily the other customer came back after my mom notified the store and the store called her. The pickup lady realized she messed up, didn’t even apologize, and laughed after asking my mom if she was watching the lady who packed up the car. I worked almost three years in retail, and that is absolutely unprofessional behavior.
On top of that, they didn’t even bag our avocados, which caused one of them to bust open and get all over other products Avocados aren’t cheap, and for them to not put proper care into their packing is beyond ridiculous. Not to mention that they put cleaning products next to food - one thing I learned while working retail is that doing that is an absolute no-no because if a cleaning product leaks out it gets all over the food and contaminates it.
I get that retail as a whole is struggling with staffing, but to display unprofessional behavior and not care about customer satisfaction is unacceptable. We’ve had other not-so-serious problems with this Kroger (mainly produce not being up to par and them not having a significant amount of our grocery pickup order in stock), but this is the final straw. We will be going to the Carey Rd Kroger from now on because we haven’t had as many problems with them as we have with this Kroger. Read moreI have been shopping at this Kroger for over 10 years. I always convinced myself against writing a bad review but I couldn’t hold it off any longer. I don’t know what Leesa, the florist’s issue is. But EVERY time I need something from her she seems to have an attitude and is always rude. I’m honestly not sure what her problem is. She always seems so nice to everyone but when it comes to me or any other Hispanic (because I know a large number of Hispanic people with the same kind of experiences as mine) she is just plain rude. I kindly made a simple request and she was talking to me as if I was dumb. Proceeding then to laugh and mutter with her helper as I walked away. I have tried to bring up a previous similar incident with her to a manager’s attention to which his response was, “Leesa? She has worked here for many years and I’ve never had any problems with her.” Basically trying to say that she would never behave in such a way. What ever happened to the customer is always right. I even had to put up with the manager basically calling me a liar. I have to deal with this type of treatment every time I need something from her department, mind you this is my local Kroger and I shouldn’t have to shop else where just because she refuses to be kind. Read moreBEWARE!!!! THE CARTS LOCK UP ON YOU AND I GOT INJURED THE OTHER DAY LEAVING THE STORE! A cashier didnt ring in an item for someone in front of me - their cart suddenly stops (I didnt know it LOCKED) - I try to go around them as I was in a rush - and my cart LOCKS - I hit the cast with my shin and almost toppled over the front of the cart - and my 5 gallon water jug fell out and thank God it didnt BREAK bc I paid $50 for it! I called corporate, but they havent called me back at all. Looked at google and THIS HAPPENS A LOT and Kroger apparently has tons of lawsuits for the cart locking up and injuring people. Now I have a huge swollen bruise on my shin and other scratches. Had it been anyone else, like an older person, it wouldve been bad. I will no longer be shopping at Kroger. If the theft is that bad in Hamilton Co, Indiana (doubtful) then they need security guards or someone checking receipts. Because the cart locking is absolutely ridiculous!
