V&G Appliance Depot — Attraction in Norcross

I bought a used washer and dryer here and it works OK. The installers did not install properly. After reading the manual online I learned that the machines must be leveled perfectly at installation and the feet on the bottom are supposed to be turned until it sits perfectly level. The installers did not level it at all. When I tried to discuss some concerns with them when they arrived to install they were condescending towards me and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. I had told them that the washer must be installed with a steel braided hose to prevent water leaks and dryer should have a rigid metal pipe - not a flexible foil one. I had to have them come out a second time to redo the installation. They still did not level the machine. Partly my fault because I wasn't aware that it needed to be leveled by turning the feet until I got around to reading the manual and then realized the installers had done it wrong. Meanwhile, I'm living with the annoying vibrations shaking the whole house every time I used the machine. I then found out that having the machine leveled is imperative to prevent damage to your machine, and I also think the vibration is bad for your foundation. I live in a historic 1920s house over a crawlspace and the constant vibration can't be good. By the time I got around to calling the company after my handyman said he didn't know how to fix it they said it was out of warranty and wouldn't do anything. Also the washer and dryer leaves black marks on my white sheets and linens. They gave me some tips on how to clean it but it still hasn't gone away completely. I do not recommend this place. I originally thought about getting some other appliances here and then checked prices and found I can get new appliances for cheaper than used ones. I saw an ad for a range I was I interested in on FB Marketplace. I’d never heard of V&G and sent a quick message inquiring about the range. The reply was quick and friendly, and I was quoted a great price. I decided to visit the retail store in person to take a look. Wow! My first impression… clean, neat and well organized. I was greeted by the friendly staff with enthusiasm and warmth. The range I wanted was. Right at the front of the store and looked to be in mint condition. I ad a few other appliances I needed so I looked around. There’s a mix of new and scratch/dent appliance but they all looked to be in great shape. Eli, a young man who’d been working there for 10 years… and started when he was 17 helped me out. Let me say, he certainly earned his pay the day I visited. He looked up various appliances, helped me compare prices, checked to see if he could get the other things I wanted etc. and, he was sooooo nice and patient. Although the didn’t have the exact color of appliances that I wanted, the had the same model, and I was super tempted. Eli even said he’d check the warehouse, later that day, and did! The vibe in the place was just so pleasant. The owner, Raymond, came out to help load my new range (a Cafe) that Eli was able to give it to me for even less than I was quoted… which was well below the retail price. This has to be one of the worse experiences I have ever had. I went into the store on a Saturday and was told that my appliance would not be delivered until Monday. I was slightly upset but told that rep that was fine. He then advised me that the man that would be delivering the appliance would call be before hand to setup a time. I explained at that time that I would not be available until after 6pm he stated that was fine they would call and set this up for me. So I call late in the evening on Monday asking why I haven't received a call from them I was then advised that they had called me and there was no response. I then asked them why didn't they leave a message so that I could follow up with them. The driver lied and said that they did when I have had my phone on me all day and did not show one missed call or voicemail. I have now received a call saying that they will deliver on Tuesday I advised her of the same thing that I would not be available until after 6pm and was promised a Monday delivery. She then offered to deliver on Saturday I then told them I was not going to wait an entire week after they had already been paid for the appliance and would be in for a refund.
