Lillian Webb Park is very well-kept, beautiful, and conveniently located park smack dab in yhe middle of downtown Norcross.
The sprayground here, despite its simplicity (just a couple of spouts), is a huge hit with the kids and usually quite busy throughout the hot months.
The stone walls and fountains provide a picturesque setting where photos seem to be taken constantly, for everything from weddings to proms to quinceañeras. Seriously, almost every time I visit, someone is having a photo shoot.
The only downside to the park is that there aren't many amenities beyond what’s already mentioned. There's a big open field for the kids to run and play in, but no play structures or anything like that.
This is understandable and completely fine, since the open area is typically used for events, providing space for vendors or exhibitions to set up. If you’re looking for play structures, just walk a couple of blocks up the street to Thrasher Park – there’s plenty of playground equipment there.
There's plenty of dining nearby, a brand new library in the corner, and clean fully furnished bathrooms.
Only one real downside, which is more a function of its design than anything else: there is very little shade so competition for shady spots can be intense. Just wear a hat, or bring a parasol. hell opt for the parasol, we need to bring those back....
Read moreI ventured out of the city to dine at 45 south for breakfast and decided to explore this charming historic area of Norcross and wondered into this beautiful park. Lillian Webb Park is 5 acres and a city park that has an interactive splash pad and volleyball courts.
It's like I walked into a storybook or something, the park is beautifully landscaped and the central focus is a waterfall. There are so many beautiful things that are Instagram worthy. It was a beautiful with clear skies but surprisingly the park wasn't crowded. Its opened from 8 to 10 Monday to Sunday.
The park has an open green space perfect for a game of catch or an outdoor lunch on a blanket. You can also find lots of benches on each level of the park, a gazebo and 6 swinging benches. If you decide to drive you'll have access to two parking lots. You also have access to several restaurants that are within...
Read moreLove this place for my 4 older children. It gets crowded fast after noon though. My kids love it as well. I think they should have someone around to keep an eye out the park clearly has rules for the water pad. But no one follows and honestly i feel everyone who plans on going here should have on a bathing suit. You can clearly smell the bleach like my kids call "the pool smell". And this week that i went many adults wasn't paying attention to their kids. Many kids went into the little water fall and played in it swimming in it. Have someone there watching now and then kick them out if they are not going to watch their kids. But overall really clean nice place for kids to have a little fun.
And please watch your kids. I have had my youngest pushed...
