I’m very disappointed with this gym new management crews. The way how they treat customers is very unprofessional, disrespectful.i will not recommend any friends or family member come here ever. L I have been member of RF gym for 7 months. I have never had any issue with child care service until the new maneger Jo take over. All the sudden one day they told me that I need to pay additional child care fee since I have 2 kids with me. I explained to them that back then when I sign up with old manager Alex, he offered me a deal. My 8 years old is literally there to help watch my 2 years old baby cuz she has separation anxiety. Without my 8 years old, they won’t be able to handle my two years old at all.thats why old manege Alex give me that deal. I say My VIP package included 2 kids. If they don’t trust me. They can ask their coworkers whoever babysit. They all know me since I’m there 2 times a week. The young girl claimed is assistance maneger Michelle insists my contract only include 1 child care service. I say it was verbal agreement. If you ask your staffs, they can prove it for me. I say I want to talk to old manege Alex. Michelle said Alex no longer work here anymore, so whatever deal I have with Alex, they don’t value it. She insists I have to pay more for 2 kids. They say old rules doesn’t apply with new management. I tried to talk to new manege Jo. Apparently, Jo does not care about his customers at all. All I got from him is “ I understand your frustration, but my hands are tied, there’s nothing I can do.” I mean what kind of manege you are if you are unable to help solve disputes at all. I told them I have contract with you guys, at lease let me finish my contract this year, then you people can jacked off my price. Of course they don’t agree. I really feel this gym contract does not protect my interests at all. Everything beneficial is on their side. Now I have to 100$ to cancel my gym membership. They being such ripped off. I told manage Jo that the truth is half of the time I don’t use child care service. Because my husband work on a job that half time he get out earlier, half time late. So whenever he’s home earlier I don’t bring my kids to gym. You people don’t charge me less when I don’t use child care at all. So on Friday, I spent whole entire hour waiting there in order to cancel my memberships. Due to the reason manege Jo isn’t there, people in the front dest have to make phone calls back and forth ask about canceling.their printer is so freaking slow took forever print out cancellation agreement. I wondered why on page of my contract clearly say $50 cancelation. But of course they force me pay $100 , otherwise, they won’t let me cancel my membership. Very pissed and unhappy. This is not the way how you should treat customers. I told manege Jo that he just lost a potential long term customer. Seems like he does not care. The other thing I want to pointed out, their price is very inconsistent. My gf who take Zumba class with me only pay $32. She has 1 kid leave in the child care too. Why I pay over...
Read moreThis is by far the worst gym I have ever been to. Half the facility and a large part of the equipment is off limits to regular members. The staff is rude and obnoxious. I was snobbishly told I could not use pull up the bar in a room seemingly designated for X fit members at extra charge of course. I was directed to a more crowded area to a less effective pull up apparatus. It is very crowded and there is not a lot of space in the main workout area. So I proceeded to set up a stiff leg dead lift in a seemingly secluded area away from the main room in the X fit section of the gym that had ample space to accomodate me. I was then chased out of that area and was told I was not allowed to dead lift there and had to go into the main room which was over crowded at best and had absolutely no room for a exercise of this nature. This gym seems to try to discourage its more advanced members in favor of less seasoned members. If you are a hard core journeyman to fitness this is not your place. If you are there to take pics for social media, socialize and go through the motions of a workout this may be your place. I recommend the Wallington location where it is 24 hours and you are free to do as you chose hassle free. Too many rules, too many eyes upon you and not enough freedom to do what you go to the gym for, which is to workout. 0 stars. I only gave it one star because it will not publish unless you give a star. North Arlington location and especially its staff is lame. First time, last time for me and I live within...
Read moreI had a membership about 2 years ago, and I had problems so I decided to cancel my membership, until the manager stepped in and helped me after several emails and phone calls. Recently, I decided to give them another shot, and I signed up again 6 months ago. Unfortunately, I had a medical issue, so I had to cancel a few months later. I sent a cancellation email as instructed by someone at the front desk, but 3 months later, I was still being charged. I emailed again and was contacted by the new manager, who then told me that apparently I had a one year contract, which the last manager never told me about or the person who told me to just send an email to cancel. The new manager said I had to pay $100 to cancel early or get a doctor's note. I immediately emailed him a doctor's note the same day, and I disputed the charges with the bank for those 3 months. The bank ruled in my favor and refunded the fees, charging back the gym. A few days later, the manager called me telling me my membership was made active again, and I now owed for the 3 disputed months, even though I insisted with him that I never used the gym during that disputed period, AND I had sent notice of cancellation. What kind of operation are these people running? Are they really that desperate that they have to swindle $20 at a time from their customers? Absolutely pathetic. Once I am healed up again, I will never join this gym again!! I will also tell all my friends and family about...
