Consign Design LLC — Attraction in North Augusta

I am SO glad I decided to pull into this place. I’ve been looking for an armoire for my baby girl - something I can put her little clothes in now but also pass down to her in the future. I had passed Consign Design once before but didn’t pull in because it looked like a small storefront from the road so I didn’t think they would have much or probably wouldn’t have larger pieces. I was so wrong!!

The inside was so beautiful and inviting, and was a nice change of pace after visiting lots of antique stores that felt a little cluttered and overwhelming. The store itself was actually twice the size it looks from the road and they have a whole separate storage area with even more! Everything is displayed so beautifully and makes you want to stop and look at all their unique pieces. They had so many different types of items from all over the world and time periods. Maybe it’s because we’re near a military base, so people who have traveled around a bit sell their stuff on consignment there. Whatever the reason, I felt like there were lots of super unique items. Lawton was really helpful and took me to see some armoires that they have in the annex. So there’s even more to see than what is up front! The annex is a whole storage area in the back that had tons of furniture.

After lots of looking at other places around town, I found exactly what I wanted here. The armoire I chose is so beautiful and I couldn’t be happier. I also felt like the price was really fair, especially for the size of the item. And the little details that were removed from the front of the armoire actually ended up being inside, which we were hyped about! We just need to tack them back on. My girlfriend and I bought a home in South Augusta in 12/23. Having some things of value we decided to find a local Consignment store to leave 2 items. This was about 10-11 months ago. We left 2 item at this store and were in the general area over the weekend when she said: Lets go see if they have sold anything. Little did we know that one of the 2 items have been sold and we were never notified? It had been such a long time that the owners son had to write a new check for us. Case in point: these people will not call if they have sold your item with the idea that you will forget and they can pocket a full profit. So, you leave your item with the hope of selling it and making at least 50% back. Only to find out your item was sold months ago, and no one notified you! As impressed as I was when I first went in there I was very disappointed...

Excellent store with plenty of unique pieces of decor and furniture. They have everything from paintings to metalworks, chairs to bed frames, and rugs to light fixtures and curtains.
