I would like to share my experience and commend the extraordinary assistance and guidance of Sakina, whom I now consider a friend. I came to the store for about 5 or 6 weekends in a row, sometimes Facetiming family members from there or bringing family members there for shopping (please note, the store is about an hour away from my home). Sakina went above and beyond to assist and put things together for me. From picking clothes, to matching jewelry -she was kind, thoughtful & I appreciated her honesty. She listened, understood my timeline and my needs for comfort and I put my trust in her. If something didn't look appropriate, she said it and told us what to look for instead of having us waste our money. Yes, some outfits are expensive and yes, what you see online may be slightly different when you get to the store; but we are dealing with Pakistani clothes & the designers use gold thread (sarcasm). Not all of us have helpful relatives (who are even willing at most) to shop for us for us and send us things from overseas. The selection at East Ave is up to date and on trend & they have a good range of sizes. The fitting rooms are bright, clean and tasteful. Yes, perhaps there should be a separate area for men (suggestion). However, Sakina goes the extra mile to help you, take pictures of you if you ask, and is patient and won't rush you.
I had a family friend (non-desi) go there and called Sakina to help her as she was also attending the out of state wedding. Sakina made her feel welcome, had her try so many outfits until she found the perfect one and sent me pics of everything. The family friend was so comfortable and very happy with her purchase!
I went away to attend the wedding out of state and there was a guest was in need of an outfit. I called Sakina and she promptly sent pictures of outfits, facetimed with us and offered to overnight ship the clothes for the guest. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this girl! She is a gem! Honestly, I didn't mind spending all that money because I went there for her - she made my experience comfortable and secure. I highly recommend visiting and meeting this wonderful girl - Sakina, you are a blessing to all those who meet you! Thank...
Read moreI am totally dissatisfied with the purchase of TB-0115 dress . They cheated me with $200 on this dress , the woman in the store had the dress for $450., next week I went there to buy another dress , they had sale of 10%,the dress I bought the week before was full price $255, on sale for $229. I asked the manager of the store why this dress was sold to me for $450, when a wk later the full price is $255 , her answers is we made a mistake on the tag , I checked on line that day and it was the same as in store , so I called them , they never replied my email or called back , today I looked at the same dress was marked $450, 10% off (lol)came to $229. I finally was able to talk to the manager , she was making excuses of this that , the only reason I went there to promote our Pakistani business , where we do not have too many as the market is flooded with Indian clothings , it makes me sad that this business is so dishonest,I will never ever shop there again .JJ is next door I have never had this issue there...
Read moreEast Avenue was a wonderful store to purchase Pakistani/Indian women's & men's clothing. I needed a few outfits for an engagement & wedding and I tell you without a doubt this is the place to come if you're looking for beautiful/elegant outfits for special occasions as well as daily wear at prices that are not going to break the bank! They have a great amount of inventory & Shakina who helped me was most friendly and extremely polite and sweet. I went there first as there are 2 other stores in the vicinity and I am so glad I did because East Ave did not disappoint while the others were fair. I highly recommend this place...just stop by & you'll probably leave with a new outfit. Why not, right? Life is short! Masallah, we should enjoy...
