Reviews for places like this often feel irrelevant compared to local sit-down restaurants where quality and service vary. But after how many times this CAVA location has let me down, I couldn’t stay quiet.
This location has repeatedly caused issues with my digital pickup orders. Almost every time I’ve ordered, something has gone wrong — especially when I add extra meat. I understand the “extra meat” debate is familiar with fast casual chains, and sometimes expectations vary. But what’s frustrating here is that there’s no debate — they forget to include the meat entirely. This isn’t about portion size; it’s about not receiving what I paid for.
More concerning is that they’ve repeatedly ignored allergy information that I included in my order. That isn’t just careless — it’s unsafe. The lack of attention to detail when preparing orders is unacceptable, especially when it involves health risks.
Customer service only adds to the frustration. They are consistently dismissive and unhelpful. There’s no acknowledgment of the issues, no apology, and no effort to make things right.

Today I visited the new North Brunswick NJ location and had a wonderful interaction with Disha Gmit who was in training as a General Manager. Not only was she delightful to speak to, but she gave me many insights to the company as compared to her previous employer with a competitor. She is all in on her opportunity with CAVA as am I as a shareholder. She said she had a wonderful staff at the new location and that she believes the food is better quality and all in all superior to her previous job. No complaints about the food and service, but the fact that they do not take Discover debit cards rubbed me the wrong way this time. I was able to transfer money to another card, and pay for my food, but I find that a bit inconvenient. I know im only one person, but I felt it needed to be said. So if you bank with Discover or if you have a Discover cc, they don't take that. It would be nice if that was made clear on the door or something, or at the register.
