Cinnamon Rainbows Surf Co., located at 62 Lafayette Road in North Hampton, New Hampshire, has firmly established itself as the premier surf shop on the East Coast. Since its inception in 1983, this family-owned and operated business has been dedicated to providing the surfing community with an unparalleled selection of gear, exceptional customer service, and a deep-rooted passion for the sport.
A Rich History Rooted in Surf Culture
The story of Cinnamon Rainbows began in 1980 when Cape Cod surfer Todd Walker opened the original shop in Orleans, Massachusetts. The unique name was inspired by Walker’s favorite surf spot, Apple Bay in Tortola, which was dubbed “Cinnamon Rainbows” in a 1978 Surfer magazine article. In 1983, Walker expanded to Hampton, New Hampshire, and by 1989, employee Dave Cropper took over the NH location, nurturing it into the iconic establishment it is today.

Read moreAt about 4:45 PM, my friends and I went into Cinnamon Rainbows Surf Shop. About 15 minutes into being there, my friend bought a bracelet. Us three continued to browse for awhile after that, trying on bathing suits and t-shirts and found a cute shirt that I liked. We continued to browse after trying on multiple things and my friend left to get an açaí bowl around the corner. A few minutes after she left, one of the managers came up to my other friend and I and accused my friend of stealing a bracelet and threatened to call the cops because they found a tag outside the building. They insisted I call my friend and tell her to come back and pay for or return it and she gladly came right back. She told them she did not steal it and the manager said “You don’t think I’ve seen girls like you before”. Even after that rude comment we offered to let them go through all of our stuff and they decided not to and told us to “beat it”. My friend they accused goes to this shop regularly and spends a minimum of $150 each time because she loves it so much. I am extremely upset with the customer service I was presented by and do not recommend going there because they WILL accuse you of stealing just for...
Read moreMy kids came up from Richmond and my son who likes to skate was excited to check out this shop. This was my first visit to CRSC even though I've been coming out to Hampton my whole life. The shop has a huge selection of surf and skate gear. My son was impressed with several of the custom made boards and confirmed the cost was reasonable for the quality of the product. This shop has tons of terrific high end items, glasses, shoes, t's, skate and surf gear. This isn't a cheap bargain kind of place. This is a place to shop for name brand, stylish, well made items that are designed for high performance. We spent over an hour browsing and enjoying the store and socializing with staff. After I bought a nice pair of sunglasses the girl at the register handed me a free cloth bag for them, which I didn't expect and thought was very cool. Totally worth checking when visiting or if you're local and need some high quality gear that you won't find in...
