The Copper Lantern — Restaurant in North Hampton

I have been coming to Hampton beach for most of my life, until I arrived at the copper lantern have I received such bad service and food. I am a chef and could lead the kitchen how to prepare prime rib, What my wife and I had was so tough I could use the rib they served us to repair for leather on the sole of my shoe, When told the wait staff that I meat was tough we were told that the way we cook it “hence” they need someone to show them how to cook prime rib, and we were told that's the way, we have done it for years, and there was no compromise they would not take it off the check, we offered to pay for the soup we had eaten, We could not trust the kitchen we did not want anything else just to get out an run has fast has we can, they need to know the Meaning of customer service, I will tell more people what you order no matter how it comes out it's take it or leave it your paying for it, What an ego this owner had not to show one bit of respect for us I was disgusted. I mean any one who reads this and have not gone yet, buyer beware, and for those who have been and like it good for you, but if the cook makes a Mistake you own it, and spin the wheel you'll be stuck with...

You walk into a fast overload of loving servers willing to help you to your table. As you walk by you can’t stop but to look at all the beautiful homemade breads, donuts, muffins on the tables. Our waitress so happen to be married to the chef.We did not know this until breakfast was served we all started chatting . I had the Tomato,Avocado eggs Benedict. Every bite was amazing . He had a omelette that was filled with fresh veggies and cheese. He ate every last bite telling me how amazing his whole plate was. Food is out of this world and I can see how it’s a wait to get in because it’s simply so amazing . I love the old fashion the place has. Not to mention they have incredible cocktails .Yes she made a delicious Bloody Mary with extra horseradish . Can not wait...

I can honestly say that this is a must stop gem in this little beach town of Hampton, NH.

I can't say enough good about the entire start to finish experience. Home made donuts for the same price as Dunkin that are simply amazing??? Try the honey dipped glazed and coffee crumb cake.

The absolute best poached eggs, over whatever you'd like, that I've ever had, anywhere even from home. It's hard to believe a simple egg could taste so delicious. It's like they broke the laws of physics!

I don't even like pumpkin in general, but I thought the pumpkin pancake, with real maple syrup and real butter was wonderful.

All and all, we came out because of the details in the good reviews, and were more than glad...
