4/3/24 Update:

I was promptly contacted by the owner Janice after leaving my review and she was very professional, apologetic and without asking, refunded my money for the class and offered my daughter to attend another class the next day. After much contemplation my daughter decided to go. The front desk lady was very friendly again, and Coach Alaina, Brian, and Melissa were very welcoming. My daughter had a great time and was nice to see them step up and make it right! I'm confident the owners will address the issues with Coach Neylla and hopefully in the future she will choose a more professional and kind manner to treat any visitors.

4/2/24-Coach Neylla is BEYOND RUDE and very UNPROFESSIONAL. We were visiting from out of town and my daughters coach suggested contacting a local gym in the area for her to practice while we were on vacation as she stated most gyms allow visitors. My 10yo daughter was so excited to be able to practice and see another gym! I called prior to coming and was happy to hear they did allow visitors and my daughter would be allowed to practice with their Excel Bronze team as she is on that same level/team at her home gym! We arrived the day of practice and the front desk lady was very helpful, and friendly. Got us all checked in and set to go. The team and my daughter were brought out and immediately I saw Coach Neylla asking my daughter some questions and then she preceeded to start practice and warm up....a few moments later my daughter asked to come see me and was in tears by the time she got over to me. She stated that Coach Neylla had asked her about her being there to which my daughter told her she was a visitor and Neylla responded, in a not nice tone, "oh...well welcome, I guess." My daughter felt like she was unwanted and shouldn't be there. I got her calmed down after a bit, told her to ignore that mean lady and to get back out there and not let her nastiness ruin her practice. There was another nice coach nearby who saw my daughter so upset and came over and I told her what had transpired. She didn't say much, however. It really bothered me that Neylla had treated my daughter or any child like that so I went and spoke with the front desk lady and told her the situation as well. Side note-there were bystanders who over heard and stated "that's just how she always is". The front desk lady apologized, also confirmed that that coaches demeanor is commonly like that. She did say that she may not have known my daughter was scheduled to be there, as the other lady who took our reservation for that day the day before, was sick that day so may not have told Neylla that my daughter was scheduled to practice with the team. However, that does not excuse her rude treatment of my child. The front desk lady, a few moments later, said she would be speaking with the coach. After she did, Neylla seemed to bring it back around with her unprofessional attitude. If Neylla has issues with the office staff she need to take it up with them and not take her frustteation out on any children. If shes unhappy with her job then its time ti hang it up. Pretty sad that the gyms staff and own spectators are used to her unprofessionalism, poor attitude, and poor treatment of children and are letting it slide. Unacceptable. Thankfully there were 3 other coaches during that practice that helped with my daughter that were very sweet, professional, and helpful!

After the practice was over my daughter also told me that Neylla had asked her what rank my daughters home gym is? My daughter was confused and told her she had no idea and Neylla responded with "oh we are ranked 8th" I was also confused by that question so I asked my daughter Coach back in our town and she also was confused by the question-she thought maybe she was wondering what my daughters gym was ranked in the country? She also felt it was an odd question to ask an athlete. To me just seemed like another unprofessional treatment of my daughter. Good grief....we won't be back any time...

Have been attending Fun Gym here on and off with my two small children for about a year. I have always been very impressed and felt confident with the safety of my children and the staff of this establishment. My six-year-old daughter even took gymnastic classes here. Tonight I attended again with my two small children and was completely shocked by the lack of supervision in the gym. Children were running around with no control and no one paying them any attention. We were there for about 45 minutes and noticed the one staff member in the gym, the only talk a conversation with one other lady has all these children were running around. Taking my concern to the lady at the front desk named Dottie, I was told there was adequate supervision and my concerns were dismissed. My three-year-old son which I was with in the gym was nearly knocked over into the pit by a line of larger children playing Chase and running in between the trampolines in areas that I know according to your rules are not allowed. Due to the rudeness, unprofessionalism, and dismissiveness of my concerns by the staff of this establishment, I will no longer take my children nor any of their friends. Moreover my daughter will never take gymnastic classes there again. I will be sure to let everyone of my friends that have children know of my experience and the lack of supervision at your establishment and the concern for the safety...

WE WONT BE GOING BACK!

The idea behind the Fun Gym is excellent however, the staff was more than undesirable. When the children first got there- one of the staff members wanted to go over all the safety procedures. She called all the children to sit down on the mat. There were about 35 kids (or more) and as she began talking, she immediately pointed out a child and accused him of rolling his eyes at her. She shouted and instructed him to get out. The boy looked as if he was 8 or 9. The boy did not respond well to this and ran out screaming and yelling. It was quite dramatic and made it pretty uneasy for the first 30 mins of time I paid for my kids to play. Not sure what kind of response she wanted to get by her behavior (which one could argue was no worse than the boy "rolling his eyes') But I can tell you one thing- she got more than she anticipated with that child. I hate to see children bullied like that- especially from adults. Maybe the child was rolling his eyes, maybe he wasn't but there was definitely a better way to handle that situation. Let's hope HE taught HER a lesson....
