Gordon Food Service Store — Attraction in North Olmsted

My mom and I have been going here for a few years now. Sometimes multiple times a week depending on what we need. The staff actually knows us by name. They are so amazing and helpful. I once had to call because I lost the baking directions for one of the frozen chocolate chip cookies. The girl who happened to be one of our favorites was great and went and gave me the temp and bake time. Now that is service. The food they sell is high quality. My dad loves their bagged salad and frozen lasagna. I love that they sell my favorite cauliflower crust pizza and big boxes of my Crystal Light packets. We also enjoy their cheese, chips, frozen veggies and more. The prices are great. They cut meats and cheese for you for free. My Compeer group gets many of our food items for our holiday and summer party from them. This...

Very good selection of food. I do a lot of cookouts and they have beef brisket at a good price and pork shoulder also to keep the smoker busy all summer. Also good deal on wood charcoal - though smaller chunks. I also get my mozzarella cheese here in 5lb blocks for my homemade pizza and cheddar 2lb blocks at a lot lower cost than other stores. Their frozen food selection has a lot of items that are hard to find some other places (many in bulk packaging too big for me but perfect for large family). A huge selection of spices is also one of the reasons I will shop here.

The staff is always helpful and online ordering has made life a breeze. They do not have bags but will put food in boxes for you at checkout - environmental plus without the hassle of having to remember your own...

The prices were ok and the store itself didn’t have too bad of a selection. I felt like it was a little dirty in some areas. I was annoyed by how the cashier who rang me up completely ignored me. She didn’t say a single word to me while ringing me up and made me wait longer so she could keep talking to the customers ahead of me. I felt like she had some prejudice against me. She never acknowledged me, never said a word to me during the entire checkout, and didn’t even look at me. She favored the customers in front of me. I don’t know if it was because of my ethnicity or my age but I felt like there was some kind of discrimination going on there. I don’t think I’ll be back if I can find the items I buy here...
