Let me start by saying I've had nothing but good things to say about Ashley Home Store since my first purchase in 2017 at their Egg Harbor Township location. My sales man Teon Cash was beyond helpful with everything from the time I walked in the door making sure that I was highly satisfied and had warranty coverage on all of my furniture. One of my purchases was a beautiful espresso colored table! Unfortunately, a couple days ago I had to call in a warranty claim because I noticed there would be what looked like brown finishing from the table on the cloth that I was cleaning with- this left my table with actual wood showing. I was told to submit pictures so they could review my claim in which I submitted to them promptly. Within 24 hours I received a call from a lady named TK from the warranty department telling me that my claim has been denied because there is too much damage to my table. I then asked her to speak to a manager because something didn’t seem right. She then assured me that a manager from the warranty department would contact me within an hour (which they never did)- I took it upon myself to call them back to get this situation rectified immediately. I was then connected with a manager by the name of Sylvester. Needless to say he was extremely rude and had no customer service skills what so ever. All he kept doing was repeating himself saying the claim is denied there is nothing we can do. The whole reason I escalated it to a manager was because of the fact that the denial in my eyes seemed to be bogus. I then asked him to speak to someone above him and he told me that he is not able to transfer me to any one and continued to then get an attitude with me. Let’s keep in mind that the reason I purchased the warranty to begin with is so that my furniture was covered if anything happened. After spending a pretty penny on this table set and within a year or so have this happen and be turned down after spending additional money for a warranty that gets denied. I was furious at this point and didn’t know which way to turn. I ended up contacting the store personally to see if I could speak to my sales man Teon. Thankfully he was still employed there and like always goes above and beyond to help his customers! He is now bringing it to his higher ups at his store- I am beyond grateful just for his generosity...
Read moreHave been to a handful of furniture stores shopping for about a week or two now for a couch. By far the WORST sales rep I’ve ever dealt with!! She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She kept bad mouthing her fellow employees. She made us feel extremely uncomfortable multiple times when we didn’t like things she suggested. When I asked if they could honor the online price she was annoyed and rude. She kept cursing using the f bomb when she couldnt figure stuff out on her computer. She also said there was a discount running where they cover the shipping fee and sales tax and when it came down to it she said she would not do that for us anymore. Then as I was paying she was like “oh I never offered you the protection plan because I already know you wouldn’t take it and spend more”..and then made a sarcastic laugh. I was honestly offended and pissed at her comment, she was acting Like I was cheap because I politely asked her to honor the online price I saw. At that point I was ready to leave because I honestly hated that I gave my money to that company also knowing she made commission off me but wanted a specific headboard and dresser matching to our set we already owned. Read morepurchased a floor model BR set, beautiful set and delivery was scheduled fairly quickly (only after I called multiple times after I hadn't heard back. when deliver was scheduled, somehow thy couldn't find the mattress (Red flag #1) I ordered so, beautiful BR set but useless because we didn't have a mattress, and, the delivery driver noted that they had the incorrect size mattress (red flag #2) . Finally straightened that part out, was promised delivery of the mattress the next day....was assured at least 5 times that it would be on the truck and delivered the next day although they couldn't give me a delivery time window (red flag #3). When I called in the morning, they said it was on the schedule but couldn't give me a time (red flag #4) - to call back later. Called in the afternoon, only to find out, it never made it onto the truck...again, beautiful BR set, but useless without my mattress! Now waiting on a call back from the manager of the store - someone needs to be held accountable and compensation needs to be made - seems like no one knows what is going on! absolutely horrible - not a happy customer! Moral of the story, check, double check, triple check - and then check again and again!
Update to red flag #2, they delivered the mattress, after they left, I measured the mattress and it is a full and NOT a Queen! Waiting now for them to come take this away and get the...
