The Camera Shop Muskegon — Attraction in Norton Shores

First off, having a specialty store such as the Camera Shop in your home town is luxury many take for granted. I have learned over the years as a traveling consultant that stores such as these are few and far between.

I am currently a semi-professional shooter that travels the US throughout the year doing my "real" job and only buy my gear and get my technical advice from the team at Muskegon Camera Shop. I have been buying gear, the right way mind you, from Justin Stubleski and Jim Beebe for over 10 years now. Never have I been unable to ask questions regarding what gear is best suited for my needs, should I think of one brand over the other and what are my options financially. Photography is not a cheap hobby or profession and I can honestly say that from my first Sony midlevel entry camera to my professional a7 bodies and now my Olympus OMD system, Justin and the team have had my back every step of the way. My goals in photography have been increasingly demanding over the past years going from soccer games of my kids to producing 4 foot by 6 foot acrylic prints I never would have thought possible without the advice and services of this store and team.

I'm looking forward to picking up my latest purchase, a new Sigma Art Lens and adaptor that I purchased over the phone in order to take advantage of the Sigma sale that is currently going on. You see, in a store like this, when I ask to be informed when something like this takes place, Justin and the team actually call me or get me the info when I'm on the road and would most likely miss out the promotions being offered. It's this one on one and personal service that will always keep me going back to this store.

So disappointed wanted to work with a Mom and Pop place but this was the WORST! First when ordered it didn’t tell you if you didn’t buy $10 you would be charged what you didn’t make till $10. I tried texting via their website, emailing and left messages to see if I could just double my order I never any communication back. I even drove up there and they were closed for a couple days… no problem but Sadly they never reached out when they got back. When I went to pick up my order he said I had to have written documentation for the photographer saying the photos were released. (Never got that email) so I showed him the email telling us to download them and they are ours. That wasn’t good enough for him but he said I could call her (which I could call anyone and they could say yes) so the guy was a jerk the entire time. He told me I lied by calling and emailing and texting. I even showed him the photo I came up to and took when they were out of the office because he said I didn’t do that as well. He was the rudest, disrespectful person I have dealt with in a VERY long time. I would not go here EVER!!!! The guy is a jerk doesn’t care about customers or working with you. I told him we placed a small order to see how they turned out and would be placing more and bringing brings next and he didn’t care. No communication, no nothing… I have gotten better photo help from Costco then this place. Would not go … would not recommend! Wish I could give less then...

My wife and I couldn't be happier with the the Camera Shop. We are enthusiast photographers and were looking to upgrade our equipment, but didn't really know what would suit us best. We had a camera in mind, but wanted someone to give us some advice based on what we dreamed of shooting. Justin Stubleski was the most helpful, friendly, knowledgeable sales associate we could ask for. He took the time to learn what we wanted to do and what we were looking to achieve in our pictures and guided us towards a camera that would suit our needs. We were both so impressed that he even remembered our names when we walked into the store after a week and a half. We had only been there once before. Just an incredible customer-focused mentality. In the end, we walked out of the store with two cameras, both set up to help us achieve EXACTLY what we wanted. He never tried to sell us something we didn't need, or guide us toward a specific product just because he sells it, but instead was focused on educating us and making sure we would be happy with the products we bought.
