The guy wearing glasses working in front (assuming the owner?) is very annoying. He is out of his way super rude and behaves as if he is doing the customers big favors for free, or that the customers are all retarded peasants who committed crimes and now facing his royal executions. This glass-wearing guy and his ill-manner and ugly facial expressions represent the characteristics of a low-class rural small town customer-bullying monopoly family-business in the cotton fields of Nebraska in the 1930s.
Each time I come here, without any greetings from him, he insisted in me answering him if I have been here before in a very definitive and demanding manner with a ridiculously serious stinky face as if I am begging for his highness’ authorization to enter the establishment - I have been to all SPAs in OC & LA but don’t need to report to him each time I come.
One time he tried not giving me the clothing needed to enter the common areas assuming I “wouldn’t need to enter the common areas to use the dry rooms” - is this necessary? Just to save one pair of their infinitely reused old and torn tshirt and shorts? It’s hard to believe that people like this still exist in businesses anymore in the year of 2024, but they still do exist I guess.
Once Imperial Spa in Fullerton and Beach spa in Buena Park re-open, who’s gonna want to keep coming to this old place to deal with his stinky face and ugly manners? Damn. The other 2 establishments have much better harmonies and friendlier manners to greet you and to accommodate your needs and thank you for your business.
This Place deserves a 4 star without this weirdo of a frowning guy, but because of his unfortunate existence, it’s overall 1.4 star, or round down...
Read moreEven though their tub was small, the overall experience was decent, as they had all the required amenities. However, the service at the front desk left me exasperated. I'm not sure what the bespectacled man, who appeared to be the owner, had gone through, but he was incredibly rude. As soon as I entered, he condescendingly asked if I had ever been to a similar spa before, as if questioning a country bumpkin. For the record, the bathhouses in my home country are far superior to those in Korea! At least his son was more courteous. Due to recent sleepless nights, I opted for a scrub service. However, when I was about to leave, they brazenly asked for a tip. The presumptive owner said haughtily, 'This is America, and Americans tip after services!' I've been in the US for ten years and have never experienced such blatant demands for tips. With this attitude, I won't be returning. It was a second-rate experience with...
Read moreIts probably my family's favorite Korean spa. Its quite small but not too crowded like some other places. My kids love to go also. They dont cook on site but get the deliveries from the restaurants in the same building, which I like. I am not limited to their cooking and will have variety of food. They need to upgrade their shampoo and conditioner as my hair feels terrible after washing. Price is great when you buy 10 packs of tickets at once. There are many different people on staff but older gentleman stands out as he is super rude. Never smiles and gets upset when I ask for a receipt. Other staff members are nice. Never got their scrub service done, so I have no review for the massage therapists. Even with terrible shampoo/conditioner and that rude guy on staff, I still give a 5 star since the price is...
