Nānākuli Beach Park — Attraction in Oʻahu

Great beach. Easy parking, facilities, and beautiful water. There is a steep drop off in the water, so you will be immediately treading water (which we enjoyed). It's all shore break, and there can be some surprise sets, so you need to pay attention. We saw adults getting thrown around. My 8 year old couldn't get enough of it, but he was careful when a bigger set was coming and played it safer further up the sand. My 5 year old and I would time the set and I would rush her out there on her boogie board. She loved kicking around and feeling the swell knowing that we were past the break. Fortunately, I'm a very strong swimmer and know how to read the ocean. I would escort her in quickly in between sets and we would run back up the beach as soon as she was on solid ground. Aloha this park has two large banyan tree so there's plenty of shade there's plenty of parking and you can camp a lot of people can't do without permits but it's good to have won the beaches pretty unique it's just kind of tucked in there there's a Cliffy area and a that's beautiful there's a place where churches and people can have meetings it's you can un lock the doors and you can set it up table and chairs are there there is a basketball court a playground and right now they're working on something over there but you can still use the beach and be under the trees plenty of parking people are kind at the beaches lord loves you...

It's a good place to camp out with the family. Limited spots available to reserve for 3 day holiday weekends. Has a playground and picnic tables with lots of shade. It is a great place for family get togethers and for taking wedding pictures. Be careful by the rocks, the swells get serious on those sides and the rip currents. Good place to boogey board and body surf. Has showers and bathrooms, but BYO toilet paper. Fishing available on rocky side of park. Good spot to do laps and open water dives. Please heed all weather conditions before heading out and watch out for Portuguese man-o-war jellyfish...
