Depot Beach Park — Attraction in Oʻahu

Depot's.... Well, what can I say. It's a place of home, fun times, and many more. I learned how to swim here as a child. I can remember as far as being 4 years old. Being thrown in the deep by my oldest brother. Today, he is not with us physically, but with us spiritually. I have a lot of memories here growing up as a child, up until now, being in my 50's. One memory I will never, ever forget is losing my brother at the age of 11. And scattering his ashes outside of Depot's, channel's. I remember the beach being so packed with people, (friends/family) who filled the sands from the bathroom area to the front of yuen's liquor store. I also have more+++ family members scattered here including my mother. Depot's has been known not just for swimming, but also for a place of Family Gatherings, Celebrations, Fun and more. Also, I want to bring to people's attention of the pronunciation of the Beautiful Home Land Of Nanakuli, DEPOT'S...... A lot of of us pronounce it wrong. Many may call it deep holes. But, it's called and named... Depot's, the "T" being a silent letter. No offense! But I just felt I needed to mention this.

DEPOT'S....... A HOME...

As of May 22nd 2020 there are currently no homeless in the park that was observed or camping out. The lifeguard station was active and there were two lifeguards on duty who were very aware of what was going on in the water as well as on the beach. There were only two or three families at the time we went which was around lunch time. We decided to do some fishing but the swimmers kept drifting near our lines so we had to pick up and move down some so our lines would not drift towards the swimmers. Visa versa...... Great beach...very clean. The bathroom facilities there were very clean as well. I would recommend this site for friends and family. Watch out for the rocks and coral to the left as you are looking out towarda the ocean (left). Someone could easily slip and get hurt....

This is my Beach where I grew up my hometown this is where I live love this beach it has a bathroom shower tables an awesome people there's a place for the little kids to go swim it's called canals and then right after canals there's like a channel where you can jump off and then after that there's the sun and the beach where you can swim on a sand & Surf and the stores are nearby not that far and there's parking leave all your valuables at home no matter where you are and the locals are very friendly there so don't be...
