T.J. Maxx — Attraction in Oʻahu

The WORST experience I’ve had at any TJ MAXX (in the country tbh) and I will never return. I even attempted to reach out to the Store Manager because I was and am so angry. I don’t normally buy anything even semi expensive from stores like TJ but I noticed they had a pretty big selection of 14K gold priced low. I waited and thought about it and decided to try a few pieces! I got a dainty gold necklace and with barely even wearing it, it had snapped and in a spot that would have to be soldered. I had only bought it less then 3 weeks ago and had my receipt so thought I would return as now I can’t even use it. I had all of the original packaging and receipt but not the item tag.. what of it had been a gift? I was told they couldn’t tell what it was on my receipt and there’s nothing they could do. As a past retail manager that’s a lie, MODs or managers on duty have discretion to make exceptions for customer service and unforeseen circumstances. This is 1 of 2 TJ Maxx Stores on Oahu that I have shopped at. The only negative comment is that they need to have more inventory for us shoppers to buy! I am limited to smaller batches of items…because the products & clothes are high quality, unique items & very reasonably priced…. I need more! Great selection of recognizable brands, every day household items are very modern & stylish, appealing color ways & aesthetically very pleasing in general. The store is clean, spacious & the foot traffic in & around the store is not anxiety inducing like some of the other shopping complexes. They had towels and pillowcases. Not very many selection. And not very many different variety colors. Pretty much set price range. Reminds me of ross. But less of an assortment. Had to go to longs next door to get the rest of the essentials I needed. Otherwise the pillowcases pretty nice. And the towel I got from them is very comfortable and big and very thick.
