4/7/2022 I really love the selection of items that are offered here! They have all kinds of to-go food and treats to eat. If you have to go to a get together, come here to pick up everything from poke to peanuts and other savory snacks as well as main courses, salads, and sweet treats! They have all kinds of decorated vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet cupcakes, a wide assortment of cookies, and Rice Krispy treats and bites. I like that they have treats packaged in large containers and small ones because I often want a sweet treat but I don't want to buy a lot since I'll be the only one eating them. The last time I was here, I noticed the cake selection. They had Chantilly, Orange Chiffon, double layered Red Velvet, double layered Guava Chiffon, double layered Carrot cake, double layered Lilikoi, double layered Ube Chantilly, double layered Dobash, and Rainbow Delight. Mini blueberry scones in a pack of 16 are my new faves. I love Foodland Farms!
11/30/2021 I love Foodland Farms! Hubby does not but only because he said it's too crowded and busy for him. Today on the recommendation of my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, I tried the burrito station for lunch. I chose chicken el pastor as my protein. The friendly lady kept asking what else I wanted in my burrito. They have so many items to pick from and you can add whatever they offer! I got peppers & onions, cilantro, rice and beans, corn, black beans, and I forget what else. She also asked if I wanted sour cream, guac, and salsa. I chose salsa verde. While she was building my burrito, another customer was waiting and expressed surprise to me that she kept adding and adding items! It ended up being a huge burrito but she managed to wrap it up neatly. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law told me that they could make two meals out of one burrito. Since I was starving, I managed to eat the whole thing for lunch and didn't eat dinner that night. So delicious! I'll definitely be back for another burrito.
8/10/2021 I had ordered three party trays of garlic soybeans and three dozen yellow Oreo cupcakes for a dinner. It was easy ordering as I went to the bakery and poke section to order both items and paid for them so the pick-up on the day of the dinner would be quicker. The garlic soybeans and Oreo cupcakes were delicious! They have prices and food items for parties listed on their website. The only thing that would make this service better would be that when you pay for the item you receive a receipt with the item, date, and time of pick-up. I just kept my receipt and showed that on the day of pick-up.
8/5/2021 Foodland Farms is fast becoming one of my favorite stores! I needed a chocolate dobash cake and I also picked up a tuberose and carnation lei. They have a great assortment of flowers and leis! The dobash cake was light, fluffy, and not too sweet. I also bought some adorable melamine saimin bowls, a serving spoon, and saimin spoons that were printed with cute spam musubis, and other local food items. I love that Foodland Farms has a lot of "local" items and a section that features them exclusively (close to the refrigerated flower cases). When family and friends visit from the mainland, I can always go to this section and find a gifts for them.
7/3/2021 I stopped by to pick up a dozen of those delicious caramel cupcakes but boo, Foodland doesn't make them anymore. I got yellow Oreo Cookies & Cream cupcakes instead. They were delicious but I was disappointed that they'll no longer have caramel cupcakes.
6/18/2021 I had walked in a few times before, just to browse. They have a huge assortment of groceries! Today I was looking for cupcakes to take to a dinner. Wow! Their cupcakes are nicely decorated. I ended up buying the caramel cupcakes. They were a hit at the dinner. Everyone agreed that they were light, fluffy, and not too sweet. I'm not a fan of frosting but this frosting was delicious and didn't taste oily. A little girl ended up eating 3 cupcakes! Her mom said, 'They must be very good cupcakes because she's picky." Seal...
Read moreWow! Today was our first trip out to Foodland Farms Pearl City and it was an eye opening experience, to say the least. Not only does this store carry the usual inventory as the other Foodland stores but they also have a lot of other items other Foodland stores do not have the space to stock. Unlike regular Foodland stores Foodland Farms Pearl City has a butcher department that stocks the best cuts of beautiful cuts of meat, smoked meats, and some pre-made shish kabobs and burger patties all ready to toss on your hot grill. They also have a fish department called the Fishmonger that sells fresh fish, fresh octopus, shellfish, scallops, sashimi, and even tentacles!
Another unusual feature for a store is a bar that sells liquor and invites people to sit down and have a cold drink after a hard day's work. The wide selection of Poke offers a fantastic variety of pupus to go along with the drink of your choice. The Poke counter has 3 sections as opposed to just one section like most of the regular Foodland stores.
I also noticed their selection of fresh lei is much larger than other stores and the fresh cut flowers and potted plants make nice impromptu gifts or a decoration for your table or patio.
I was also impressed with the wide variety of bentos. The display featured a beautiful selection of bento combinations that is sure to please the pickiest eater.
Another surprise are the bulk natural foods such as nuts, dried fruits, seeds and cereals reminiscent of Whole Foods and Down To Earth Natural foods. Indeed the bentos reminded me of Shirokiya. It seems like the planning and foresight that went into this Foodland Farms was well thought out in anticipating the needs and interest of potential customers.
There are several counters of prepared ready to eat foods that again reminds me of Whole Foods and Down to Earth. I believe they charge $8.99 per pound so you just select the foods you want and it is weighed at the check stand when you checkout. With the number of choices you'd be able to eat several meals if you took only a tablespoon of each type of food they offer.
Their organic produce section is also a lot larger and neatly arranged. I didn't bother taking many photos of the items normally offered at Foodland stores but focused mainly on the unusual "extras" this Foodland location offers. We wish we lived closer to this Foodland because we'd definitely shop here a lot. Visiting Foodland Farms Pearl City was a surprising and satisfying treat for us. You will find a bunch of happy employees who help you with a smile. The energy in the store is really clean and positive. Do yourself a favor and stop by Foodland Farms Pearl City when you are in the area and have an extra hour to meander through the aisles. Take a shopping cart because you'd be hard pressed not to walk out with anything...

Just went the other day to pick up a few groceries. Was a pleasant experience and the employess that I met with were friendly and helpful.
When I went to the cash register to pay for my groceries, the clerk at the register was very nice and welcoming. There was another lady "apparently" helping to bag groceries, but she was just standing there having a conversation with another employee and not paying attention to her job. When the cash register clerk asked if I needed a bag, I said "No, thank you as I have a reusable one." and proceeded to give the reusable bag to the bagging area clerk. She hesitated to get the bag almost like she was saying that she wanted me to bag my own groceries. I didn't think nothing of it as it didn't bother me. As I saw the cash register clerk ring up my items very quickly and promptly, the baggage clerk only stood there looking at the items and continuing to talk with her other co-workers. Only when I was about to pay did the baggage clerk start placing the items in my bag VERY SLOWLY one at a time.
By the time I had paid and the register clerk was helping another clerk, the baggage clerk was STILL bagging my items. I only bought 7 items that day and it took FOREVER for her to bag them.
When she finished bagging them, she held up the two handles of my bag and just looked at me with a uninterested look on her face. No words no nothing. I grabbed the two handles she was holding and proceeded to walk out the store only to hear from behind me "Your welcome" I came back with a snarky "Your welcome too" and just walked out of the store. If you want to talk story go do it on your break. Don't hold up the customers as they're the ones paying for the groceries which in turn is paying your paycheck.
I don't know what's so hard to just be a little nice and say "Ok, here you go." The customer service here in the island has really changed here and for the worse. I was very disappointed as it wasn't like this 10 or even 5 years ago.
The sales register clerk was very nice and helpful and if I was just interacting with her I would give Foodland 5 stars, but because of that bagging lady, it soured and ruined my day. That bagging lady should be fired. Just running her mouth and not even doing...
